Kids do the darndest things. And when it comes to their health, darndest things are the last thing you want.
A disturbing trend in do-it-yourself-braces is sweeping the nation.
"Today, we are going to make fake braces," said one young girl on her YouTube channel.
That's right, she's talking about making fake braces. But orthodontists warn that this is a bad idea.

Maybe. I learned in the 70’s that cleaning a deep cut well with H2O2 and sealing it with super glue worked well for on the job wounds.
...as long as you have had the right shots in the previous xxx years.
I have a friend who lost her teet and had no money. I bought a pair of upper and lower dentures on Craig’s list from a woman for $10.
I called my dentist to get some instructions on re-fitting them for her, and his response was that the learning curve was rather steep, and to bring her in the next day and he would do it for free.
I did, and he did and they look and fit beautifully. While not exactly DIY, I could have done it...
Hmmm, my fake braces were paperclips we unfolded and rebent to fit out mouths. Clearly kids are much more sophisticated these days.
