Tiger Woods has undergone yet another back surgery, and the rest of his 2017 season has been placed in question.
Woods announced on his website Thursday that another back surgeryhis fourth since September, 2014was necessary to "alleviate ongoing pain in his back and leg."

I saw him several years ago when he was on top of his game. He looked like an average man in who kept himself in good shape. Period.
It isn’t Track & Field, the risk far outweighs the benefits. A fat, 70 y/o dyke can beat me in golf. Let’s try a 100M dash.
If one wishes to cheat, one should use an awareness altering drug, not juice.
I have been predicting Tiger Woods early demise from competitive golf at age 30. Only players who can endure are those with smooth and deliberate swings. Such as Fred Couples, Vijay Singh, and the Big Easy from South Africa. Fast swingers base their skill on young muscles and nerves, and those have a short half-life.
Same as me, and I was a good bit bigger even as an ectomorph.
Golf has to be one of the worst sport for the back there is.
Coincidence?
Exactly!!
...steroid use ... It's a rumor

Then why did Woods seek out and get visits from Canadian Dr. Anthony Galea, a known distributor of PEDs. He also received visits from another Canadian Dr. Lindsay who was an associate of Dr. Galea.
Please take your heads out of the sand.
Google it.
Time to retire and enjoy life, Tiger.
My head is not in the sand, just passing on my observation.
Unless you can hit the ball straight on every drive, further distance will ultimately kill your game.
Tournament courses today are designed for accuracy, not distance since a 3 wood and five iron will likely get them in wedge distance to the green on most par fives. Most of the par fives will have bunkers or other obstacles such as trees and dog legs that would severely encumber a long driver if his drive wasn't spot on...........And that's why they're there, to challenge the over confident long distance hitter.......
There are courses the long bombers stay away from, but many of the majors favor the longer hitters. I remember an interview when Tiger said there were only about 10 players that had a chance at winning that major. Tiger did a majority of his scoring on the par 5's. He was hitting mid irons into a lot of par 5s if he drove into the fairway. Even if he got into the thick ruff, he was able to hack it out and get somewhere near the green for an eagle chip. It was a strategy that won him many tournaments, but likely shortened his career.
Anybody wonder if he’s just making it up for a convenient excuse because he doesn’t have game anymore and didn’t want to acknowledge that he just can’t compete anymore? This gives him an out. It’s not his fault.
Tiger did a majority of his scoring on the par 5’s.
...
Well, that’s true of all the pros, and good amateurs, however, compared to other pros, Tiger performed average on the par 5’s. But he was frequently near the top in par 3 scoring and pretty good on the par 4’s. He was phenomenal with irons and hitting recovery shots with the irons. Maybe the best ever. He was also unbelievably good with short putts. I think he had a streak of over 1000 putts of 3 feet or less without a miss. Under tournament conditions and mostly slick greens, that’s unreal. His driving was never much better than average compared to other pros. I’d never seen a pro of his caliber hit so many pop ups. He had that big dip on the downswing that caused him so many problems, and that dip was the result of him trying to kill the ball. The dip may also be the primary cause of his back problems.
The only time he had any kind of advantage with the driver was when he was still playing with a steel shafted shorter driver and he was young and in good health. Younger pros coming up in the Tiger era focused on physical fitness, and swings that maximized distance with more forgiving equipment. Eventually, Tiger lost what little advantage he had with the driver.
Not that anyone cares, but Tiger is only 25% black. He is 50% Asian, but that didn’t bring in the same fortune as his dark skin (given the same accomplishments).
His dark skin also rained money on all the other PGA tour players, the TV networks, and just about anybody associated with the golf industry, so nobody complained.
It’s always a shame when an athlete doesn’t or won’t leave the stage when age and/or injury catch up to them. However, in Woods’ case, I could make an exception.
How many more times will we get Eldrick’s annual “I’m still relevant” announcement, followed by his annual “I’m still injured” statement? Man up and do the tearful retirement speech, will ya?
He needs to practice safe sex.
Looks like your correct. I get the consolation prize. Tiger was number 1 for par 5 birdies, but overall performance was average on par 5’s. http://www.foxsports.com/golf/tiger-woods-player-stats?association=1&category=PERFORMANCE%20BY%20PAR
I guess pleasuring oodles of women is not so good for one’s back.
I thought it was 18 holes?
Bad boy, bad boy.
