How do steroids help one in golf?
You're right, that is a damn shame. But you have to figure that the number of balls he's hit on the course and in practice (millions?) in his lifetime has to take a toll on one's spine. I play senior softball with guys who have had shoulder surgeries, knee replacements and hip replacements, and all of them have played thru the pain both before and after their surgeries.
But when the pain involves the lower back and spine, man you're out.........I truly hope this final surgery can take care of his problem because I'd like to see him play again. But at this point in time, even if the surgery is successful, he has to get his mind back into the game. Without confidence, nobody can compete at that level........
In his younger years, you could sense his confidence and his mere presence in any tournament was intimidating, especially if paired with him in the final round.
He will be 42 next year, must be 50 to be on that tour.
They DON'T, all those rumors were just crap............
See my post 7.
You have to be 50 to golf on the Senior tour, which is now called the Champions tour, btw.
Woods will be only 42, this coming December.
Tiger’s golf career has been over for quite some time.
However, the liberal sports writers and commentators just can’t deal with that so they always come up with some sort of manufactured drama.... WILL HE OR WON’T HE?
No, he won’t. Woods is done.
They would help a golfer drive the ball further.
There was a suspicion about that dating back to his first extended injury absence. I believe that absence coincided with the PGA’s first steroid testing process, and there was always a suspicion that the injury was used as an excuse to get himself off the tour for a while.
I think human growth hormones could be more effective than steroids in golf. One of the effects reported for HGH in baseball players was a marked improvement in their vision and hand-eye coordination.
I read a great in depth article on him about a year ago and it appears that life with dad wasn't that idyllic for Tiger or his mom.......
As a side note, I've often wondered (well, not really) why one of Sweden's top models would give up her career to come to the U.S. just to be a "nanny" for a professional golfer........
I think Adderall or cocaine would be better. Focus, and out of your system in three days...
Still having back issues? His ex must swing one hell of a 9 iron!
Tiger was notorious for constantly working on his game. Long hours on the practice tee are much harder on your body than playing a round. The juice helped make the recovery time much faster.
Nowadays, even before his back went out, Tiger is unable to put in the amount of preparation that's required for him to be ready for world class golf tournament competition.
I saw no side effects, nor did anyone.
No bitch tit, no rage, nothing...
I don’t believe performance enhancing drugs like HGH have those types of side effects.
My first back surgeon and neurologist told me once that golfing is the single worst thing anyone can do for their back. The torque and twisting motion of the swing just tears it up. He did a lot of surgeries on golfers for that reason.
If you like your back; don’t golf. I asked him if he golfed. He said he did until he realized what it was doing to him. Putt Putt golf is still okay though.
Well he already had a stint as a stud horse.
Exactly right. Four lower back surgeries will do that too. I know, I've had four. I'm in Physical Therapy AGAIN for my ongoing lower back issues. Have had them since 30, I'm 54.
Not aging well. Not at all.
They would help a golfer drive the ball further.
Not sure oral steroids would help much but an injected steroid right into the inflamed and pinched nerve area would relieve the pain for a month or more. No pain equals a better game.
