So, how will Freepers be celebrating Earth Day 2017? Personally, I will be clearing an area in the backyard to set up for a compost pile and organic vegetable garden. But first, I need to burn the tires that are there; and I'm thinking that my used motor oil will make an excellent accelerant.
By ignoring it.
Fertilize my yard without using toilet paper.
Use the used motor oil for weed control along your fences and around you fence post. If you have cattle, set a fence post in the pasture and put a gunny sack over it. Pour the oil on that and you won’t have to buy fly spray for your cows as they will rub themselves on it.

Maybe I’ll blow the carbon out of my cylinders (aka an Italian tune-up).
I’m going to turn on all of my 100 watt light bulbs at the same time, and then light my kerosene hurricane lamps. Next, I will drive my guzzling pickup truck to Publix, pick up some hamburger meat and a big bag of charcoal. I’ll have a great char-broiled meal along with some beer in aluminum cans. Those cans will be exempted from the recycling bin. It will be a glorious day!
Fire up my smoker, cook some meat.
I will be moving earth.
Kinda like landscape management.
The earth needs a good divot, so I will go play golf.
I am going to Bar B Que, keep all my lights on, and turn the Air Conditioner up full blast.
I’ll drive around a 1963 Cadillac gas guzzler to piss off enviroweenies?

Earth Day is Saturday, April 22, 2017. Going to my 40th College Reunion.
I am going to take my 67 GTO out for a fast bout of instantaneous criminal behavior.
Same here; I had to look up when it actually was. Well, turns out its on a Saturday this year. The weather is supposed to be cold and rainy, so no working in the yard. After I do some shopping for Mrs. henkster, I’ll probably spend a good part of the day playing “World of Warships” while hockey games are on TV.
And it’s what I would do under the circumstances, earth day or no earth day.
With a big cigar and a juicy hamburger.
Burn a couple of old tires in the backyard. :-P
Brushed some VOCs on an outdoor bench - to protect the dead Chinese trees it’s made of.
What day? Never heard of it. Sounds stupid.
Volunteering to help clean up the mess they leave.
