More people are keeping an eye on the actions of United Airlines after a disturbing video of a United Airlines passenger being forcibly and violently removed from a plane went viral.
Most recently, several people took to Twitter to post statistical information from the Department of Transportation that showed more pets died while being transported by United than any other major airline in 2016.
The data, which surfaced on Monday, showed that United reported 9 pet deaths and 14 injuries for last year alone.
Some of the pet deaths include a Yorkshire Terrier named Diamond, a Belgian Malinois named Bakry and an American Staffordshire Terrier named Winston.
Most of the animal deaths appeared to be dogs, with the exception of a Sphynx cat.

I think we (the general public) have reached the point of ‘Piling On’, throwing rotten tomato after rotten tomato.
Most folks have many a bone to pick with air travel, from the TSA inquisition/ interrogation and the ‘Imperial Queen of The Airways’, attitude from some Flight Attendants, to those itty-bitty seats we have to squeeze and strap ourselves into.
The United Air company has become a convenient pinata or whipping boy for all our air travel angst.
If they can weather the storm until August, without causes anymore over the top fiascoes, they will survive.
The TSA is also in dire need of a reinvention, IMO.
The snow is clean and white. Not a spot of yellow or amber.
Thank you for this information. Now I know how to get rid of that pesky cat my wife took in last winter.
Long time ago flying by airline use to be an elite experience, now it’s no better than a Greyhound bus.
Remember this???

That is how it was! Now it’s garbage! Crappy service, nasty staff. No in flight food nothing. Never mind the TSA lets stick to the airline it’s self. We have so forgotten what quality is. Sometimes in the 90’s maybe late 80’s not sure things started to go bad and has never recovered. Now it’s like this. Personally feel it’s not one thing that’s to blame it’s a lot of things. Our whole society needs an overhaul and attitude adjustment.
Maybe we should throw tomatoes at them till they make it right again. Personally think a lot of things need tomatoes thrown at them. What you don’t agree? After all we all elected Trump and he was the biggest tomato we could hurl at the left.
When my daughter and son-in-law were moving to CA. ,last summer, Jet Blue refused to fly their Golden due to the July heat. They opted to drive for 5 days and the happiest one on the trip was the dog. Her favorite place is in the car so she was in heaven. It actually turned out to be a great trip, their youngest drove with them while her brothers flew.
Dogs aren’t allowed to have MRIs, but CATScan...
In 2002, I had an Ibizan Hound pup come from Nebraska.
She arrived in severe shock, desperately hypothermic and soaking wet, with her carrier crushed.
I never drove that fast in my life, trying to find an e vet open.
Three hours and $300 later, we were finally on our way home.
And they did not honor her insurance.
They dicked us around with excuses until the 30 day period was past.
What a great book! One of my favorites!
Invalid until we know the f*cking PERCENTAGES involved. Easy to calculate. (animals that died / total number of animals carried) times 100.
Repeat for each airline. Report airline with highest number.
Easy, eh?
And stop with the “everybody dump on United”. Yes, United is responsible for the assault on the Vietnamese doctor, but let’s not blame them for everything else.
Reminds me of bedtime in my house.
There's a great campaign slogan in there!
My Great Dane absolutely loves the back seat of my SUV. Of course, that leaves the question of where to put the people . . .
e.g., are they more likely to put pets in cargo hold as opposed to crated in the passenger compartment
Don’t think they get
“Crated in the passenger Comp” on any AL
Bongo is a real cutie——(and Mr T. is too.)

Thank you, Mears!!
I thought most airlines had a heat rule, usually 85 Fahrenheit. If it’s warmer than that at any destination, the pets can’t fly.
