We won’t wall the Rio Grande off because that would be ceding to Mexico. Creently, tHeres not a fence all the way thru the Arizona desert, just the major areas of traffic. Incredible canyons and remote areas would preclude building a wall on the entire border. Some places will have to be virtual walls with sensors and cameras.
A senator was just on Barney saying they have enough votes in the Senate to block any funding for the wall.
No wall, no peace.
Wall the whole border. Nothing else will work.
If the existing laws were enforced, especially including widespread prosecution, fines, and imprisonment of those hiring illegals, the wall would not be needed. And, of course, forced deportation of all the illegals.
The Maginot Line was an enormous costly project that did little to protect France.
I think the article said that it was settled law that the government can take the land for the wall, but the owners can hold it up in courts for years over the price.
Guard towers, machine guns, and a $25/scalp reward would be a great deterrent to invasion.
We need a wall.
Period. Anything less, will be an open border, the second day of any Democrat, or open-borders Republican.
We need to build the wall. All of the wall.
Now
A senator just on Varney said they have enough votes to not fund the wall.
I always ask these anti-wall folks:
“So you support tearing down the walls, barriers and fences that are currently in place?”
The second day of an open borders administration they can order the wall breached/destroyed just like the removal of many hydroelectric dams across the nation.(its for the fish!)
Chicago politicians destroyed Meigs(sic) airfield in a surprise midnight bulldozing. The wall would be no different.
ANy fence or wall not constantly monitored and heavily patrolled with responders able to be on scene in moments will be climbed, tunnelled or cut.
I favor a larger,well-trained and equipped Border Patrol.
REgardless,if open borders idiots return to power neither patrollers nor wal lwill be permitted to do their job.
I respectfully disagree.
Build the wall.
And the landowners fighting it in court will certainly be a hold-up.
If I was a landowner I wouldn’t want the gap in a long walk to be on my property. This asshat is volunteering to own a gate in the wall. Besides, I think trump will use the Army Corps of engineers, instead of contractors, to bypass any court injunctions against private contractors using the war powers of the president. The primary duty of the president is to defend the nation and I believe that he will utilize the military to bypass any court decisions.
Any ocalities or locations along the border where he’s not facing legal trouble he can still use contractors.
I really am not comfortable with my nation looking like East Germany nor do I want millions of criminals. We have had the tools for years but our political leaders refused to use those tools or even allow their use.
Once all those public services went through your land didn’t it become more valuable?
President Trump will have a WALL...whether the government gives him the money or not (which by the way, it was approved some years ago) or President Trump will pay for it himself...or we could do a ‘buy a brick’ to get it done...
As far as the private property owners, build the wall around them and let them live in Mexico...after about a week, they’ll be screaming their lungs out to be included with the wall on the other side of their property...
This is what the border looks like without the wall. Pretty ain't it?
We also need to reintroduce the alligator to the Rio Grande.
*** We also need to reintroduce the alligator to the Rio Grande ***
Alligators are there already, just need to be better fed
