I don’t know. If prissy little cross-eyed Jared wasn’t part of the equation, I’d give it A.
Hell YES!!!
(Frankly, there is not much in that litterbox I don’t want to see bombed!)
Syria has done nothing to stop ISIS.
“You asked a simple question. You would think only a few would be unable to answer it. But the number of FReepers who could not answer this is amazing. Sad commentary....”
Kind of like the militarist leaders who had taken over the pre-WWII government of Japan asking their people if they were for war or disloyal......
People have short memories.
Obama made his famous “redline in the sand if Syria ...” Syria did, Obama chickened out.
Trump did not chicken out, but now they want to bitch like whiny little liberals. Seems these chicken s*** liberal cowards were actually for Obama doing nothing in the first place.

start a new thread, but substitute Clinton for Trump in the question (as if had Clinton won the election).

It is Clinton’s fault we attacked Syria and created ISIS. She had a policy of taking out bad dictators, not realizing they were keeping worse people in check like ISIS, Boko Haram, Al Shabab.
Hmm I don’t find it sad...
I think questioning, researching, debating, and disagreeing are very healthy especially on a forum that has the following on its home page:
Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for INDEPENDENT, grass-roots conservatism on the web.
... forum is read daily by over two hundred thousand freedom loving citizens and patriots from all around the country, and all around the world.
...Free Republic is not affiliated with any political party,
group, news source, government agency or anyone else.
What I do find sad* is that because some don’t come out in lock-step agreement with President Trump on an issue, out come the labels... a “Hippie” a “big giant pussy,” a “cut and run moron,”a “Dick Weed” a “Liberal” a “Troll,” and I am sure there are a few more names I missed...
This has happened here with the Healthcare bill and now this missile launch.
It is one thing to disagree with an idea—fine, but quite another to impugn fellow Freepers because they disagree on a position. Reminds me of back in early 2016 when when Trump supporters were under relentless personal attacks because they did not support Cruz...
Disagree with my position, but don’t call me a hippie, liberal, troll or worse because I don’t share your view.
I am trying to be A, at this point I am a B.
*This really was not directed at you—just seemed like a good place to post this.
excellent point
The question was basically “was Trump right or was he wrong”?
And the many “Hell no” answers, which did not indicate whether they liked or disliked Trunp’s action was what I was commenting on. It reminds me of how many times Freepers reply without even reading the excerpt.
Oh well. Not everyone is capable of yes or no options.
There is no proof that Assad used chemical weapons. The only “proof” comes from the same swamp that Trump said he was going to drain. Even if there were proof, Trump promised that we would no longer be the world’s policeman.
Many here seem to forget that one of the worst gas attacks in modern history involved the Branch Davidians at Waco. The perpetrators were never punished, and no foreign country launched a missile attack against those responsible. But I guess the official policy is that we are OK with WMD attacks against Christians. Our own missile attack against Assad arguably helps ISIS, who also target Christians. Bottom line, protection of Christians is not a priority for the political establishment, and many in this forum seem to be perfectly OK with that.

Understood...I guess I took the “Hell NO” answers for “B” and the “Yes” for “A”

Yup, a pet peeve of mine—I prefer to read the entire article, but sometimes my computer virus program has other ideas ;)
I guess I just feel that everyone here was very unified here going into the election, but lately there has been a lot of intolerance to differing opinion...especially on the healthcare bill and freedom caucus and now this...
Maybe it is a microcosm of what is going on in politics in general across the country :( However, I think that is sad as I learn a lot reading posts of Freepers with a differing point of view than my own.
Fregards.

oh...well then he should have used a nuke.....
Thank you for your careful analysis of the war in Syria.
I was reading a post on FB about this. I read every one of 184 comments. Everyone said it was the right thing to do. I have never seen 100% agree on anything. I think it was the right thing.
