Well, you aren’t dead yet. Actually you seem to be reeling with a new diagnosis but not yet a battle plan. Leave room for that in your head while you & your dear wife adjust to the facts as you learn them.

Could I offer you a bit of advice, unsolicited tho it may be?

..Until you learn the details from your medical team about yourself & your particular cancer, avoid research & advice from armchair/internet doctors, even well-meaning ones like your FRiends here. Don’t waste time investigating treatments/outcomes you may never undergo. Just plain don’t waste time. Conserve your energy. Prioritize your time.

Do exactly as the doctors say and then eliminate from your diet all sugars. Cancer cells need glucose and feed on it as a rate 15x greater than normal cells. Starve them to slow it down.

Then mix a teaspoon of turmeric and a teaspoon of coconut oil in warm water and drink it three times a day. Turmeric attacks cancer cells but it needs a medium chain triglyceride such as coconut oil, olive oil or avocado oil to get absorbed into the cancer cells. The MCT is an alternate source of energy for the starved cells and acts as a Trojan horse to get the turmeric directly into the cell where it can do its work.

I was reading somewhere (no doubt FR just yesterday) about someone that had colon cancer, radiation treatment and was doing just fine many years later. Hope that is the case with you Farmer Dean.

I've been doing research online since a friend of mine was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. There are a couple of briefings online (by Dr. Dominic D'Agostino and Dr. Thomas Seyfried) that go into great detail at the cellular level about cancer and a glucose rich environment (standard diet) vs cancer and a (fasting/ ketogenic diet) ketone rich environment for cells.

It made sense to me. Cancer loves glucose. Normal cells in the human body can live on glucose or ketones. There is no harm from doing the ketogenic diet or fasting for most people , but check with your doctor to see if you have any of the conditions that would preclude you from doing this. They talk about doing standard of care/normal therapies (i.e., chemo) in conjunction with being on a keto diet. Very interesting results.

Start at the 30 min mark to get to the crux of the cancer/ketone discussion. If you have time, watch the whole thing. He talks about the history and background of this theory.

I agree with you on Vitamin c and D along with the ketogenic diet. Haven’t looked into the other ones you mentioned. Will do more research. See my post #69 where I link to a YouTube video seminar by a Dr. discussing research using this therapy.

I use tumeric in everything and now and then put it in green tea with a dropper full of milk thistle.
May add a few drops of oil to the mix
