NAVASOTA, TX -- The mother of a 19-year-old woman says her daughter was killed when she was struck by a train while having photos taken of her on the tracks in a bid to launch a modeling career.

Hakamie Stevenson told The Eagle newspaper that her daughter, Fredzania Thompson, attended Blinn College in Bryan but wanted to put her education on hold to begin modeling.

Should have stuck to shooting photos on the beach. Safer.

As long as you don't go into the water.

Holy moley. Train tracks are dangerous. A photo shoot on tracks? Well better be sure the train isn’t coming . use common sense. Very sad lessons learned the hard way.

Was everyone involved deaf? or stoned? or was the train traveling at mach 1.1? My mom used to tell me don’t play on the train tracks.

I do a lot of fashion photography, the photographer was not very good or smart either.

According to the article she would have been modeling maternity collections in a couple of months.

“Darwin Awards are given out for a REASON.”

Not really. They’re as fraudulent as the 44th “president”.

This sounds awful but I don’t understand how this could have happened. Were they both hard of hearing?

Well if your mamma’s name is Hakamie; then I guess anything’s possible.

It’s the new Hi-Speed SuperMach Bullet Train. You don’t hear it coming until you’re dead.

Actually Blinn College is in Brenham, Texas - not Bryan, Texas.
Brenham is a very beautiful town little town, that makes Mayberry seem like the Bronx.

I think that woman is the leading Darwin contender so far this year-modeling on train tracks while pregnant and somehow did not check the tracks or listen for another train-not sure any other contender can top that...

Two happened to come at the same time. She stepped out of the way of one, only to be hit by the other.

Wow, had no idea it’s so frequent.

“Every week in the United States in 2014, about 16 people were killed by trains”

Sorry it’s from an ant-American article, so perhaps it’s inflated, but like baby deaths in hot cars, there about 30 every year, but people will start tuning out Big Media if they report them all.

Her family has set up a GoFundMe for her funeral expenses.

Wow. Now that's trashy.

This is a theme in at least one movie I’ve seen - jump out of the way of one train to get hit by another. it’s how I hit a pedestrian a decade ago.

And no, I was never held responsible.
