Rock legends The Who on Monday announced a residency in Las Vegas, putting off retirement as they wind down what they called a final tour.
Caesars Palace, one of the landmarks of Sin City, said that The Who will begin playing at the hotel on July 29.
The residency will initially be only six shows, although a statement described it as a first run.

The Countdown begins: How many hours will pass before someone reporter comes up with a question that ends with The Who bashing President Trump? I say 72 hours or less.
For once great bands, Las Vegas is that pit stop just this side of Hell.
I thought they hoped to die before they got old.
Saw them at Desert Trip last October at Indio/Cochella.
They must have become smitten with the desert southwest.
So some dudes who have strummed the same 4 chords over and over again and repeated lyrics with some slight melodiusness for 50 years are doing something. Yay. Way more important than bouncing balls

Somehow I don’t think these shows are going to resemble the Isle of Wight 1970 show.

I believe that Roger and Pete lean a little more conservative than your average rock star. Seems like they did an event for the Republicans in Congress a few years back (ro honoe Xhuexhill)
If they were to perform Quadrophenia, I would definitely go see them.

Roger still looks better than a lot of guys 20 years younger.
