Friday, March 10, 2017, 5:55 - Parts of the Northeast are primed for significant snow threats through midweek next week as Canadian Arctic air spills south.
A clipper system is forecast to descend form the Canadian Prairies this weekend bringing light snow to the Upper Midwest.
As the low interacts with the sub-tropical moisture in the Southeast, it will begin to significantly intensify Monday and Tuesday.
Early models indicate areas north of Virginia could see the highest snowfall accumulations Monday through Wednesday, while areas farther south will see mostly rain.
The threat of heavy snow greatly increases for Pennsylvania, New York, New England, or areas north of Virginia, says Weather Network meteorologist Tyler Hamilton. Early models show that some areas could see snow of up to a foot or more. This is something were going to have to watch over the next few days.

Thanks for the update. The local channel here won’t be giving estimates of projected snowfall until Monday, as they say they do not yet know what track the storm will take. We had a little snow yesterday. It’s 15 degrees outside at the moment.

Global Warming on Free Republic here, here, and here
Latest I saw for where I live on TWC is 8 to 12 inches Monday night, another 3 to 5 on Tuesday — mainly in the morning — and then maybe another inch on Tuesday night.
I have you beat. I am flying with my family form DFW to NY tomorrow. My father-in-law, who lives in Florida is turning 70 this week. My mother-in-law decided to have the celebration in NY rather than having everybody go to Florida. So not only am I stuck with the in-laws I am also stuck in Manhattan for a blizzard. The funny thing is that my father-in-law was supposed to travel on Tuesday, my mother-in-law is already there, but they are already telling him his flight won't happen and he has moved it to Thursday, so we actually miss his birthday which is Wednesday. I am going to need something stronger than Yuengling, a lot stronger. Pray for me freepers pray!!
Heading to FL. tomorrow!
