“A Ticket to Ride” was playing on KING as I drove off Fort Lewis and left the Army.
Yeah, I’d go for that. Anything off “Eldorado”.

My favorite Moody Blues song ever.
The whole disk “Every Good Boy Deserves Favor” was their masterpiece. That was the second cut.
So we sailed upto the Sun Sandrat Hugs.

Put my gun down, the war is won;
Fill my glass high, the time has come.
I'm goin' back to the place that I love
Yellow River.
Yellow River --
Yellow River --
Is in my mind and in my eyes.
Yellow River --
Yellow River --
Is in my blood, it's the place that I love.
Got no time for explanations,
Got no time to lose;
Tomorrow night you'll find me sleepin' underneath the moon
At Yellow River.
Cannon-fire lingers in my mind;
I'm so glad I'm still alive,
And I've been gone for such a long time
From Yellow River.
I remember the nights were cool,
I can still see the water blue,
And I remember a girl that I knew
From Yellow River.
Yellow River --
Yellow River --
Is in my mind and in my eyes.
Yellow River --
Yellow River --
Is in my blood, it's the place that I love.
Got no time for explanations,
Got no time to lose;
Tomorrow night you'll find me sleepin' underneath the moon
At Yellow River.

Lest we forget “Wooden Ships”
One of my favorite bands for about 45 years now. Their first, Days Of Future Passed, is still the one I love the most.
I’ve had all their recordings, first on vinyl and then later on cassette and eight track and finally on cd.
Aso bought those box set Deluxe Editions when they were released about ten or so years ago.
This April, “Days of Future Passed” celebrates the 50th anniversary of its release.
I hoped for years they would reunite with Gabriel and perform a large number of the songs on this album. I would have killed to see that.
