"During his much-anticipated Friday morning speech at CPAC, President Donald Trump found common ground with “democratic socialist” Sen. Bernie Sanders.
“Ya know, Bernie is right on one issue — trade,” Trump said to a crowd of excited conservatives. While there wasn’t a grumble in the room, at least not a noticeable one … there should have been.
On his radio program Friday, Mark Levin took time to explain the lunacy of Trump’s statement and why conservatives need to differentiate themselves from this phony, so-called “nationalist-populist” movement."
Levin is so full of HATE for Trump that our president can never do anything right in his eyes.
Levin is unlistenable. He is unhinged. He’s not as smart as he thinks he is either.
Levin is clearly in Glenn Beck territory, maybe worse.
Chris Plante is great.
Levin thinks unfair trade with other nations cheating the hell out of us is a great idea.
Somehow stupidity is being sold as conservative.
How ignorant can they get?
Mark...you used to be a smart guy. You got embarrassed by Trump and now you can’t look at reality if Trump has voiced it before you have. Get over it.
Go to the GOP-E Pawn Shop, buy back your brain, spine, and nuts, and then go back on air with a new insight into what conservative is to us common folk out here.
Hint: it isn’t stupid trade deals.
Free trade is great in theory.
One big problem in practice is when one country props up or subsidizes businesses and/or when one country penalizes businesses. If our exports are heavily taxed, that is a barrier to our businesses and an advantage to foreigners.
In principle, I prefer that we not have protectionist policies. In practice, I believe in leveling the playing field.
I think that among honest conservatives, there is some truth on both sides of this issue. I hope that we can find the balance that is right.
Trump is totally right on this issue and both you and the nut Levin are wrong.
Nothing wrong with that. I can’t remember his name right now, but remember the Bernie supporter in the bow tie who led Democrats for Trump?
What many people don’t like, however, is trying to triangulate the Bernie voters by adopting the left’s positions.
BTW, Levin is right — Bernie is a communist.
I have to agree with Trump on this. Bernie wants better jobs for workers.
Bernie the Communist was dead on right about trade and protectionism.
In what way is free trade a leftist position? Most progressives I know are big-time protectionists.

The founding father put tariffs on trade ....it was built into the Constitution from the get-go to as a valid tool protect American Business and jobs....
You can agree or disagree with the merits of trade tariffs but George Washington used tariffs and George Washington was not a communist

Trump’s playing a cool, sophisticated game. He’s trying to divide the Berners from the rest of the DemonCraps and get them to start rioting against their former allies. Mark can’t see this play, showing why he ant he rest of the “true conservatives” lost and PRESIDENT Trump won.
