WAYNE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) Willowbrook Mall was evacuated Sunday afternoon because of a large fight in the food court.
Video posted to social media shows police at the mall, running with guns in hand. Other clips show shoppers scrambling to get out of the mall.
Sources tell CBS2 two fights broke out between teenagers. Witnesses thought they heard gunshots, but police confirm there was no shooting. Investigators say it was probably the sound of flying chairs hitting the floor.

They should have kept it an insane asylum.
How utterly Neolithic.
I wonder if they make cave art too.
“No arrests have been made”.
Well, there it is. This is why this stuff keeps going on. Doesn’t matter about the people who had to run out of fear.
Obviously the ferals never learned that you don’t shit where you eat.
LOL!
I thought that too.
Tea Party again???
They know that there are no consequences. They have immunity due to their protective pigmentation.
But if a Whitey puts on a dark-skinned mask, he is ostracized, fired, and investigated for a “hate crime.”
“Witnesses thought they heard gunshots, but police confirm there was no shooting.”
Well duh...of course there were no gunshots.
Guns aren’t allowed in malls...
ML/NJ
It was merely the usual feral suspects.
Good point, but that was a different Willowbrook. That was the one on Staten Island in New York City. This is out in suburban New Jersey.
Yes, I caught that. It also wasn’t really an insane asylum.
More coffee. LOL
Sorry Mr. Rivers.
Bingo....and stay out of the restrooms
LOL. Willowbrook ... Jerry Rivers. You can always tell a New Yorker on these threads.
Combine with all the events on Boxing Day a couple months ago, and you’ve got another nail in the coffin for the concept of the mall.
There must have been a lot of horses and black buggies in the parking lot.
I knew it involved Democrats before I opened the article, just like it was Democrats at Ferguson, Baltimore and UC Berkley. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with party.
It’s probably racist to ask, but, what started it?
Who threw the first punch?
What was the cause? Somebody “dissed”? Somebody from rival gangs felt compelled to act tough, and things got out of hand?
There’s an internet site called “Dead Malls” if I recall correctly. And it lists malls which have closed and gone out of business. A number of them went out of business because feral “youth” scared off legitimate shoppers and nicer chain stores.
One such mall I’m personally familiar with was Landover Mall, in Prince George’s County, in suburban Washington, DC.
If the gangs declare that your mall is part of their turf and their home boys show up to hang out, sadly, your legitimate paying customers will avoid your mall.
At a mall in Elizabeth, my sister and niece were involved in a scary set of events. A little boy (maybe 3 year old) touched my niece under her mini-skirt while they waited in a line at the food court. My niece responded, turning around. The parents were smiling. Then the little boy did it again. When my niece protested ....... I was on the cellphone with my sister. The whole thing happened in seconds. Quickly - the mother loudly accused my family of being RACIST as her son is only a little boy. My sister tried to de-escalate the situation ..... but suddenly the whole food court was alerted to my family. My sister was blindsided and they were scared. It was scary loud arguing and RACIST. ...
Apparently there is nothing wrong their young boy's behavior .... they thought it was funny for their child to put his hands up the skirt of a young lady in a food court. and it was okay to accuse someone of being a racist for objecting.
Only then, did my sister and her daughter, realize they were surrounded by a crowd that had no idea what "caused" the woman to call my family RACIST.
Crowds...malls...scary.....confusion... bad things can happen quickly before things can get sorted out.
I called the Elizabeth mall security, but my family could have been hurt before them might have arrived to assist.
