The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds.
From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you.
This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks. No matter what, you wont be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked.
It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread. Planting, Harvest to Table(recipes)preserving, good living - there is no telling where it will go and... that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!
NOTE: This is a once a week ping list. We do post to the thread during the week. Links to related articles and discussions which might be of interest are welcomed, so feel free to post them at any time.
Mind me asking what did you use the horehound for? More importantly, how did you contain it?
All my local family are on high ground. I have a couple of friends who have to drive a quarter of a mile in axle deep water which is find if they take it slow and not drown out the engine. It rained some more today
Sorry to hear that.
Keeping fingers crossed for you tree to do well.
This auto correct is a real pain. We have a Rouen, not a Roman duck.
Nephew helped me with poo over the weekend. I brought three trailer loads home from the neighbor lady's horse stable. One load is ~12cu/yd, and it took a full load and part of the 2nd to mulch the 25 orchard trees.
Pops sold his big loader tractor in January, and bought a little Massey-Ferguson. This thing is super handy for tight-quarters work, and is small enough to fit on the trailer for unloading poo. What used to take an hour of hard work now takes 15 minutes of shovel-leaning while Nephew does the hard part.
The last load I brought home was hot, hot, hot!
The Massey only has to be fed when it’s working, and it never talks back. LOL
But Mama has become more valuable as she ages while junk yards are full of worn out Masseys...
