NEW YORK - Animal lovers will pay their respects to the bull that ran away from a Queens slaughterhouse and died Tuesday.
A vigil is being held Wednesday night at the Aziz slaughterhouse on Beaver Road in Jamaica, where the bull escaped from.
Bull Who Escaped from Queens Slaughterhouse Has Died Officers chased the bull through the streets for hours, shooting him with tranquilizers. He was eventually cornered at 158th street and 116th Avenue, nearly two miles away.
The bull died while on its way to the Animal Care and Control Center in East New York, Brooklyn.
The vigil begins at 7 p.m.
Nope, and that is the crux of the story. They gave themselves fig leaves (a picture of useless self effort) but God shed blood to give them animal skins (a picture of the full redemption of the cross of Christ).
I was watching a doc, can’t remember what it was about, but it revealed that a lot of gypsies and the like will wear the niqab in predominantly muslim areas. Makes it easier to beg, good for hiding things in.
Thank you. I will accede to your greater knowledge and consider myself instructed. G’day.
I’m not suggesting otherwise. I simply was remarking that I’ve seen some darn tough cops be afraid of cows and horses (and again, just because they were never exposed to them).
A vigil. For a bull. Then, to be consistent, they need to go to slaughterhouses and weep.
God’s grace is certainly a wonderful thing.
God bless.

Well, yeah, I don’t get it. If it was a halal slaughterhouse, it means it was mudslums doing it, and you cant protest against muds, so what’s the point of the vigil? To blame the police?
Muzzie dream: standing ankle-deep in blood revenging Allah.

Thinking the same thing. Bulls don’t that often go to slaughter. Steers and even cows sometimes have horns.
I bet that these big city cops had no clue how to corral a large animal on the loose...............Probably have limited or no experience with that sort of issue...........
Really, a vigil? Nutz
Good heavens, there must be 10 darts sticking in that guy. I’m going with steer. Heifers are generally kept for breeding. Bulls generally don’t go to slaughter at that age.
PS. Don’t eat any of the drugged steaks and drive!
I understand the allegory but always figured a God who could create an animal would have better things to do than go hunting, kill an animal, gut it, skin it, deflesh the hide, tan it, stretch it to dry over a smoky fire, and then soften it, cut it to size, stitch it into a garment and then give the clothes to Adam and Eve.
Seems like it would be more practical for the Creator to just create what he has in mind, like He did with light. Adam and Eve could then reverses engineer the process from studying what they had.
someone needs to show up with a bag full of hamburgers to pass out to the grieving crowd . . . . . .
Apparently they learned NOTHING from killing that one antlered buck a month ago or so. That buck wasn’t bothering anyone. It had taken up residence in a city park, and the local residents really enjoyed having a bit of nature they’d never had experience with, in such close proximity. It was a neighborhood attraction and very popular with the locals. Then the NYPD, with their total lack of experience, got involved in getting the buck out of the park to move it upstate. It never made it there because, just like the steer, they shot it up with multiple darts of trank, which was far too much, especially when agitated from being chased. So if they had previously brought about the sloppy death of a large animal, logic would dictate that the next time that situation arose, they would handle it better. NOPE. Same ham-handed tactics, same result.
