NEW YORK - Animal lovers will pay their respects to the bull that ran away from a Queens slaughterhouse and died Tuesday.
A vigil is being held Wednesday night at the Aziz slaughterhouse on Beaver Road in Jamaica, where the bull escaped from.
Bull Who Escaped from Queens Slaughterhouse Has Died Officers chased the bull through the streets for hours, shooting him with tranquilizers. He was eventually cornered at 158th street and 116th Avenue, nearly two miles away.
The bull died while on its way to the Animal Care and Control Center in East New York, Brooklyn.
The vigil begins at 7 p.m.
Muslim halal slaughterhouse.
Don't recall having heard of a vigil for him!
The NYPD needs some lessons—badly—in how to safely trank large animals. They shot 5 darts into this poor guy and then chased him for miles. No wonder the poor thing died from their ministrations. A one-antlered buck died about a month ago here when the NYPD did something similar to it, over-tranked it and chased it. They don’t wait for a single dart to take effect, they just shoot more and more into the poor animal. Imbeciles.
Wow...too sad. And too bad Jon Stewart wasn’t around. No more illegals, no more slaughterhouses (one of the best effects.)
Here in Texas, whenever a cattle truck gets in an accident and spills its cargo, people go home and get their horses for a nice little round up.
“They dont wait for a single dart to take effect, they just shoot more and more into the poor animal. Imbeciles.”
They are NOT imbeciles——they need more training.
Lack of knowledge hardly merits being called an imbecile.
You are very fortunate that you know EVERYTHING.

Maybe over-tranquilized by animal control officers trying to catch him. They probably had to shoot the darts many times, and couldn’t be sure if any stuck. (Not saying either police or animal control had much choice.)
Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy [the Lying Left]; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 1 Tim 4:1-5.
Many forget that the first one to kill an animal for the benefit of man was God who clothed Adam and Eve with animal skins. These self-righteous hypocrites and murders put themselves out as more righteous than God.
Free steaks at the vigil?
Heck, speaking from experience, it always amused me to see burly big city cops actually afraid of cows and horses.
I’m going to make a WAG and speculate that the bull was
neither an employee nor a mascot of the slaughter house.
A couple of experienced cattle people, a rope, and maybe
a flake of alfalfa would have saved the animal’s life...
....temporarily.
I will take the author’s word that the animal was a bull.
From my TV view it could also have been a heifer or a
steer.
I was at an intersection near the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx stopped at a traffic light
A team of about 8 women wearing colored niqabs appeared among the rows of cars selling sodas, fruit, newspapers, etc.. - it was just like Mogadishu
What was its name?
C.mon. Bull, right? Made-up, right? (No, I believe this could be a totally no-bull story.
I thought he gave’em fig leaves.
It is not unwise to be a bit afraid of a bull.
Probably a steer now that I think about it. Bulls aren’t created for slaughter.
