Maybe Kyrie Irving would have benefited from a few more years of that pricey Duke education.
The Cavaliers point guard, who has established himself as one of the premier players in the NBA, caused a stir by saying he believes the earth is flat, not round, while participating on the podcast Road Tripping with RJ and Channing.
This is not even a conspiracy theory, Kyrie said. The earth is flat.

What is the back story to that
To: shibumi
No...no...there's no firmament.
Star Trek-like invisible shield found thousands of miles above EarthThe team originally thought the highly charged electrons, which are looping around Earth at more than 100,000 miles per second, would slowly drift downward into the upper atmosphere and gradually be wiped out by interactions with air molecules. But the impenetrable barrier seen by the twin Van Allen belt spacecraft stops the electrons before they get that far, said Baker.
Scientists Discover Star Trek Style Invisible "Shield" Thousands Of Miles Above Earth
Its almost like these electrons are running into a glass wall in space, lead author Professor Daniel Baker said in a news-release. Somewhat like the shields created by force fields on Star Trek that were used to repel alien weapons, we are seeing an invisible shield blocking these electrons. Its an extremely puzzling phenomenon.
An impenetrable barrier to ultrarelativistic electrons in the Van Allen radiation beltsRather, we suggest that exceptionally slow natural inward radial diffusion combined with weak, but persistent, waveparticle pitch angle scattering deep inside the Earths plasmasphere can combine to create an almost impenetrable barrier through which the most energetic Van Allen belt electrons cannot migrate.
Oh, wait...

You never answered my question from days ago:
If Earth is a flat disk, why is every other heavenly body a sphere? Why have we never observed another disk world in all our explorations?

I find your arguments somewhat pendulous but without Foucault.

NASA can't go beyond low earth orbit?
Are you real clear on the concept of what an *orbit* is?
(Hint: It has nothing to do with flying in circles.)
BTW - FWIW the real reason we can't leave Earth orbit is because The Grays warned us to stay on our own side of the street. They don't want us near their Moon Base.

What explorations are you talking about?
See above...inbound objects moving at more than 100,000 miles per second are stopped yet we can penetrate this barrier with a rocket? How is that possible?
Did fact catch up with fiction?

See the difference?

I find your arguments somewhat pendulous but without Foucault. So you can't explain how something that shouldn't be visible is visible and all you can do is ridicule and mock me.
Got it. Thanks for participating.

Your rhetorical questions 2 days ago?
They're rhetorical and your other comments on the thread prove it.
Phil, if you look around the internet, you can find evidence for fairies, werewolves, vampires, time travelers, underground ET bases, parallel universes, space portals, and successful socialist countries.
Of all of those, evidence for a flat earth is most easily disproven.
So then tell me how the things seen in the videos I linked to in reply 40 are visible when it's supposed to be impossible to see them.
You can see that with your own eye, not like images from NASA. Hell, street painters on 6th St. in Austin can make the same thing NASA does.

The Grays warned us to stay on our own side of the street. They don't want us near their Moon Base. Now that's not a conspiracy theory. /s
Seriously, there's just not a rational argument that can convincingly explain why we abandoned the moon missions. I've heard them all, but th8nk there's more to the story.

You seem to have chosen to ignore them.
