Im thinking about a revolver, a shrouded airweight S&W for ankle carry. But I read something about an internal lock on them than can lock it up unless you have it gunsmithed, so whatchagonnado. Shouldnt have to gunsmith a new piece.Take a long, hard look at the Ruger LCR. It's probably lighter than an airweight, and doesn't have the infernal internal lock.

Overly long and heavy trigger pull that absolutely precludes any claim of accidental discharge.

I didn’t know that! I learn something new here every day.
He also used an expression I never understood: “(That’s as) tight as Dick’s hatband.” He used it when really torquing something down or snugging it up.
Any idea where that came from, meaning?
I’ve got the older Ruger LC9 and wear it on my ankle as a BUG. I keep a S&W Sigma .40 next to my bed.
The triggers don’t bother me. I figger with either one it’s going to be just a few feet.
And in the heat of the moment if I forget to keep my finger off the trigger, shooting either one is more likely to be intentional.
But it would be nice to have those light, crisp follow up shots. My first gun was a Ruger Single Six. Ruger, good! (grunt)

Thanks, I’ve been looking at them. I will probably take that advice. As light as Airweights and cheaper and I like Ruger.

I am considering a Bersa .380 for a car gun in a holster on console next to right knee. Same reason. Not a great financial lose if car is broken into. It would be my winter “get to my carry gun” loaded with Hornady critics duty especially for winter driving.

Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove for Ruger LCP, something like this @ Amazon, $11.99. It would probably offer stability agin the ball of my thumb and maintaining my shot picture. The biggest problem I have with it, my pinky gets nothing but air! Hence my seeking out PRO MAG 10 rd. or larger, my pinky has a rest point. It’s not out there being all gay with the world and stuff. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! I’ll shop around and get one, it can only help.

The Berea Thunder 308 ACP is an outstanding weapon/Walther PPK clone. The weapon is highly accurate (shoots exceptionally tight groups), easy to rack the slide, butter smooth light trigger pull, low recoil, very reliable, easy to conceal, easy to disassemble and it come with a built-in keyed lockin system. To top it all off the Berea Thunder is down right fun to shoot!
Just do a YouTube video search for the Berea Thunder 380. The weapon consistently receives exceptional reviews from professional reviewers and from owners alike. It literally sells itself.

I've shot the Bersa and like it. I'm a fan of the Da/SA trigger which I have on my S&W.
Wouldn't hesitate to carry one.

When the next batch arrive, I’m buying three more ‘cause that may be the last chance for these excellent tools. I wonder if the 380 version (CZ83) has as good a double action trigger?
