In the past decade or so, science fiction on television has seen a dramatic uptick in both quantity and quality. Shows like Westworld are keeping critics engaged and audiences coming back for more week after week, but while a number of sci-fi shows over the years have developed significant cult followings, others have become notorious examples of just how bad the genre can be when it isnt executed effectively. Dr. Asimov was a great writer of science, fact and fiction. In his personal life, he was a leftist of the first magnitude, from what I recall of his autobiography.
A good example of loving the work, but SMH at the person doing it. He lived in an era where he understood that spewing his political beliefs could alienate much of his audience, though, so he seldom popped off. Would that some of the morons in entertainment today would follow his principle.
yeah, but I’d say Amazon Women on the Moon is a comedy really, like the Kentucky Fried Movie. Not sure I’d classify it a sci fi.

Thanks, I didn't catch that it was one of his productions.
Tom Corbett - Space Cadet.....
I always liked Wanda V.
At least it was original.
SeaQuest was such a let down.
I liked Airwolf as implausible as it was. Blue Thunder was good.
I thought B5 was very fair to religion.
JMS wrote a good scriptwriting book. I have a copy.
Years ago back in public TV land, we had a show called “What In The World Is It?”
People brought in oddball and unusual antiques and oddities. The resident experts had to work out what it was or at least come close if possible.
One time a guy had some of the original TOS props. He had the communicators, little phaser, and maybe the bigger one.
The communicator dials according to him were off Matchbox cars.
Ditto!
Andy Griffith
Yeah, that’s a blast from the past! I forgot that one. Lidsville, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, The Bugaloos, HR Puff-n-stuff... I’m probably forgetting another one!
