After the Hamilton incident, it should be no surprise that tourists aren't flocking to the upcoming spring Broadway season. The straight plays tend to be very political in nature, so not a surprise that they are failing.

Broadway is simply part of the conveyor belt for Liberalism.

Not to mention that they are very $$$$. The writing has gone way down over the years.

The ‘Hamilton incident’ did not help. I don’t want to spend $800 for some self-centered prick lecture me about politics. People come to plays/movies to forget about life for a few hours, not be blamed for it.

Notice how many of these plays are remakes? There is so little creativity they’ll be putting on “Our American Cousins” soon.

Sweat, Indecent and Significant Other are three politically correct and/or anti-Capitalist plays about the misery of traditional life that only a liberal New Yorker would want to see. I’d actually be surprised if they made money.

Every now and then they trot out the Glass Menagerie. Reason: Tennessee Williams/gay.

Many years ago, an old girlfriend and I saw Bob & Ray in a Broadway show...

The only play on Broadway I saw was Neil Simon’s worst.

Hamilton is probably the last successful play. It is ridiculously expensive to make these plays and people are sick of spending a hundred dollars for a decent seat. Oh well. Change the way productions are done. Make them cheaper. Get rid of “stars” and go with normal people like Hamilton did.
