Terrified hiker captures the moment he totally freaked out after spotting Yeti-like creature wandering through the woods but is all as it seems?
Man cowers behind a tree as the mysterious figure
FOOTAGE of a terrified Ukrainian man cowering behind a tree as a figure he believes to be a Yeti walks past him has resurfaced.
The petrified hiker trains his camera on the ape-like figure as it bounds through the forest.
A terrified man caught footage of what he believed to be a Yeti-like figure in a Crimean forest
But unable to hold his nerve, the whimpering cameraman drops the phone as the beast walks off into the distance.
The location of the sighting is believed to be Yalta on the Crimean peninsula that is contested by Russia and Ukraine.
A caption on the YouTube clip read: I dont know who or what it was.
Other eagle-eyed internet users were quick to point out the trekker had mistakenly stumbled upon cameramen filming for an advert featuring a Yeti.
The footage was first uploaded to the video sharing site six years ago.
It has since resurfaced on social media site Reddit as members keenly discuss the worlds most convincing sightings of Bigfoot.
One wrote: Best part about this video is that the guy sounds genuinely scared
The footage, taken in 2011, has recently re-emerged after a Reddit thread discussed the most credible sightings of Bigfoot.
Even if it is fake that's really good acting on that dude's part.
One Bigfoot appreciation page on Facebook speculated the shadowy figure was a prankster who wore the outfit to scare locals.
It claimed a similar outfit to the one seen in the video was later found abandoned nearby.
Last month an eagle-eyed internet user claimed to have spotted a family of Yetis roaming through Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
At least six hulking, shadowy figures were filmed walking through the snow on the park's live internet stream
I believe they did an investigation on this I cident on "Finding Bigfoot" several years ago if this is one in the same event. I think it occurred in the 50's but I could be wrong.

Well, I’d say that a “mythical” creature with so many different names in so many cultures on several different continents going back centuries actually isn’t mythical at all. No idea what they actually are. But, they do appear to be a very large, hairy species of hominid, generally reclusive and elusive, that on occasion display a strong dislike of being encroached upon. In known species this sort of behavior is usually tied to males during mating season or females with young.
I believe it was Arthur Clarke who said “Any sufficiently advanced technology would be indistinguishable from magic.”
Humans are like the apes running around, waving their arms, and making small mouth noises when they see the monolith in the opening scene of “2001, A Space Odyssey”.
Our “scientific experts” are either clueless or pathological liars or (most likely) both.
Neanderthals are supposed to have died out about 40,000 years ago. It is sometimes suggested that very small relict populations in particularly remote/cold/mountainous areas might have persisted much later, giving rise to the very ancient folklore found in so many places about giants, trolls, ogres, etc. up in the mountain caves. That may be nothing more than romantic nonsense -- there seems to be a spectacular lack of evidence other than old stories with no more foundation than today's anecdotal sightings -- but: the wooly mammoths lingered on until about 4,000 years ago, finally dying out as the Egyptians were well into the Age of the Pyramids.
my 1st thought upon reading this
Freaked out, scared as shit, but remembered to grab phone/camera to get it on film and make as much noise as possible to direct attention to himself in the face of the unknown thing which frightens him.
Riiiiiight.
Along those same lines of thought, another would be “dragons.”
I was thinking the other day. The reason these creatures are not seen more is they are basically wearing a Ghillie suit.My son has one and he can be in light brush 3 feet away and I can not see him in normal light. If you have ever seen the effectiveness of Ghillie suits you can understand it.
It’s Bobo, not a Yeti....
Wild Turkey 101...have a word with the bird.
“Yeti”?
I always liked the first name I heard as a kid...the “Abominable Snowman.” There aren’t many places where you can use the word “abominable” and it just trips off the tongue.
It does have huge arms...
We need to see if it is being followed by a herd of reporters to be 100% sure.
Similar to the Paterson film from the late 60s in the stride and arm swing. Greater distance, though.
Almas. Closer to man-sized than Bigfoot/Sasquatch, and spoken of for as long as written records have existed in that region. There's a great older (1970s I think) book on the subject by naturalist Ivan T. Sanderson: Abominable Snowmen- Legend Come To Life.
Nah, Michelle has more hair.
