After much anticipation and speculation, pop mega-star Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl LI halftime show performance was largely devoid of partisan politics — much to the chagrin of myriad liberal media and entertainment reporters.
Journalists from some of the country’s biggest news outlets raked the “Bad Romance” singer over the coals for failing to bash President Donald Trump’s immigration and national security policies, specifically his controversial refugee moratorium.
Below is a roundup of some of the most disappointed reactions from a liberal media upset that Lady Gaga delivered a non-political Super Bowl performance clearly intended to entertain all Americans.

Smart enough with the teaser to get both sides to listen and watch. It was actually a pleasant surprise to NOT have some attention whore spout off politics but instead just go ahead and entertain.

You mean Dale Bozzio. Her persona is sort of similar, but Dale wasn’t quite the athletic performer and Gaga’s music isn’t nearly as driven, it’s far more poppish.
Yikes - there is a So Cal KROQ reference. Agreed but just on the superficial looks - Terry was a bit squeaky in the pipes while Gaga has got a remarkable range for a little shrimp. I think she did herself and her future career a big boost last night by sticking to singing not huffing and puffing snide remarks.
Terry's husband was a Zappa drummer - v good.

Watched on YouTube today. She did a great job, good for her career. Very smart. I own some of her music and she is extremely talented.
But make no mistake, she hates Donald Trump.
Media obviously missed that Gaga was reshaping her image....

She wasn’t about to throw all of that down the drain to appease the fringes.....

Also her, if you saw it, reposition of herself, while suspended in air was quite the athletic performance.
Great ending too, catching a football and disappearing out of sight.
FOX did a 5 second delay on the half time show. I’d guess THAT is the reason for lack of funny business.
I know she did an album with Tony Bennett. They did a cover of Baby It’s Cold Outside that was quite good.
I can’t stand the evil demonic spirit cooking POS. Hope she goes down with her pedophile buddies.

I saw an interview of hers and she is pretty down to earth which surprised me.
She has her own costume makers, and iirc she takes a hand in designing all of the outfits. Before some awards show performance she saw the outfits her dancers were going to wear and didn’t think they did them justice. “I mean - all the motion and theatrics is the other dancers.” So she designed some costumes and her workers made them overnight. And she had nothing but praise for the sewers, and what an incredible team she has, etc.
I thought it was a great half-time show. I heard on the radio that the part where she was way up on the roof and the drones behind her were from earlier in the week and taped. Due to weather and security issues (the drones). And when she jumped down into the roof and made the long descent to the lower stage that was also on tape. No matter to me - I was watching it on T.V! The sports guys were saying the half-time show is more for TV anyway, most people at the game are going to the bathroom or getting more beer.
The radio jocks were impressed by the leap and football catch at the end. “So how would it have been if it beaned her in the face and bounced off - would that have made no difference in the total show, or made it worse - or better!?”
That was my first thought, too.
You have not missed anything. She is just another very average and overrated pop star.
I won't comment on that, because I don't know if she did so. She's tame compared to other rock stars out there who do far worse. For instance, Janet Jackson baring her nipple with stud piercings on the SuperBowl broadcast a while back. Or the Dixie Chicks. Far worse rock stars.
Listen to her duet album with Tony Bennet. Very nice.
The NFL probably wrote it into her contract, pull any funny stuff, no paycheck for you.
