Nordstrom said Thursday it is not going to sell this season’s Ivanka Trump merchandise, apparently winding down its relationship with the controversial brand that has spurred boycott threats and concerns about the first daughter’s conflicts of interest.
The department-store chain said it was making the move based on sales performance.
“We’ve got thousands of brands,” according to a Nordstrom spokesperson. “Each year we cut about 10 percent and refresh our assortment with about the same amount. In this case, based on the brand’s performance we’ve decided not to buy it for this season.”

Nordstrom did not say whether the decision to stop buying the Ivanka Trump brand is permanent, saying only that “we make buying decisions season by season.”
Currently, the department-store chain is reducing the amount of Ivanka Trump merchandise it stocks, though some inventory may remain for now, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
Nordstrom has come under fire from the Grab Your Wallet campaign, a critic of the administration that is asking shoppers to boycott retailers that carry Ivanka Trump or Donald Trump goods. Ivanka’s business also has drawn criticism for blurring the lines between brand promotion and politics. Her company sent a “style alert” to journalists in November promoting a gold bracelet that she wore during an interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes.”
Ivanka Trump is no longer listed among brands on Nordstrom’s website, but the company still lists some items on its Rack site, the department store’s value-focused chain. The Racked fashion website reported earlier Thursday that the products had begun disappearing from Nordstrom’s e-commerce selection.

After 5 years of incredible rise in stock price, CEO Lundgren kicked out Trump’s products in July 2015 when the stock was selling for $73 per share. Today? Less than half that. A steady drop for 16 months unabated.

Nordstrom sent a message some time ago to its employees about all the calls they were getting demanding they drop Ivanka’s line. Any sales drop is likely because of this organized boycott which the store were hit with. But I also think lower sales are just an excuse.
In other news, Nordstrom sales are expected to plummet by 55%.
From what I recall, it is true that a style alert was sent, but the individual that did so has been reprimanded.
Well then, my dollars spend just as well everywhere else.... Buh-bye Nordstrom's.

So unlike Chelsea Clinton and her unemployed husband who live in a $10 million apartment and have done nothing but live off Clinton Foundation money their entire married life, Ivanka, whose father is a billionaire, is an entrepreneur and works her rear off to make a name for herself. However, the “pro-female” left are coming after her with daggers and trying to ruin her business because they don’t like her father. So sad and pathetic. Keep doing what you’re doing you nuts, you’re just alienating more and more people and making 8-years of Trump seem more and more likely! Hope it happens!

I remember the day, in the ‘80s, when I cut up my Nordstrom card at their Customer Service counter at the Anchorage store. Have never visited another Nordstrom store since then except to return the flowers they sent to me as an apology.
Don’t like the Daddy - Try to hurt him through his children....
