Gun silencers are hard to buy. Donald Trump Jr. and silencer makers want to change that.

I had an XDM .40 and sold it like an idiot a while back.

Yours looks like a dream.

If you want an SBR then by all means get the one you like.A SBR Thompson would be cool.

For example-
It took me 6 months of trial and advice on how to get a Ruger Mark 1 to cycle correctly using subsonic .22 cal 60gr rounds. Reduced power spring, tons of polishing on the bolt, etc.
Still hear the boom of the powder charge though.... I can’t wait to easily go out and buy, or just build my own “can”.

I guess I bought into the BS hype told to me by gunshop owners.

My mistake.

I’m thinking more of the AK route in an 8.5” Krink or 12.5” AK 105.

Friend of mine inherited a Thompson .45 from his grand-dad that was fully automatic. That thing had everybody’s attention at the range.

Suppressors are mandatory in much of Europe. If you hunt or shoot near high density populations, the suppression of the sound just makes good sense.

I have never understood the obsession over sound suppressed firearms, nor the reason for a NFA special license.

Most suppressors today are in the name of a trust, and the ATF doesn’t even know where they are stored. The idea of them charging into your home is a myth.

An AK 105 would be the ultimate high powered sub machinegun.Put a bump fire stock on your AK 105 SBR and have some fun!

I like your thinking and I may just do it.
I just love the 5.45 round.

My prig is, I don’t like reading a firearm referred to as a weapon.
Sure, it can be a weapon.

Isn’t Reason 4. of Why Guns Are Better Than Wives, “You can’t put a silencer on your wife.”?

I remember when the state I was living in at time passed CCW.

That was the argument here in Michigan leading up to the state becoming a "shall issue" state back around 2000.

Imagine their shock when several years later it was discovered that Michigan was already an "open carry" state and had been for almost forever. At that time, not even the LEO's I knew were aware of that law since no one had ever been observed exercising that right......

Funny, I was living in Michigan at that time and that is exactly what happened. The rag was the Grand Rapids Press. I still remember how livid I was reading that article.

They are NOT “silencers”. They are sound suppressors. Huge difference. But again, we have ceded the terminology of the argument to the left. Time to stop being stupid.

Yep - hard to silence a gunshot - most still produce a "crack" noise, but at a comfortable level. Very small caliber can be made pretty quiet though - of course the racking of the slide still gives it away....

If I were getting a sup[resser I would mate it with a feather arms .22 and then the 9 mil. semi auto.
