A lot of modern country music is just pop music with a different beat structure and no synthesizers. It's why someone like Taylor Swift could so effortlessly switch between genres. It's been good for the genre economically, sales are booming. But it brings in a lot of lefties.
I know this because I live in the Northeast, I know many urban fans of country music and I know they are lefties.
Bro country and modern country isn’t country.
I wonder if a wisely enough targeted set of country music songs could wake up some of these lefties. I don’t think I’d want to be one to waste an audience.
