Just another entainer whore, going for the money not for country.
He doesn’t want to alienate all the Obama-voters who buy his records.
A hand fulla howdy and a hat fulla howdy-doo.....
He became that when he took on his alter ego singing persona.
Is he in the middle of a Tour?
He was one of the first that was claiming he would perform.
It is a shame so many people are being harassed about performing.
Sounds like he lost his nerve.
Show your True colors.........Shameless & Brainless!
Sounds like more of a sudden detour.
Saying he can’t thanks the Obamas enough for serving was all I had to hear to be irked. Thank them for racial tensions and apologizing for America? He can stick it!
Just another country western fool.
Garth Brooks is so 90’s Perhaps he should go back into retirement and make cookies with Trisha.
Wants more time with his family?
But he has no problem alienating his fans that voted for Trump I guess.
I would guess most of his fan base voted Trump. He is shooting himself in the foot.
It sure seems interesting. There’s a big enough lefty presence in the “country music” audience that some performers are getting cold feet.
But what does this mean. Is this a conflicted, love-hate relationship? Faux country can be as lefty as it wants because it doesn’t have to run a farm, drive semi trucks, etc. But real country has a way of rebuking that. Do these lefties want the redneck panache without putting in the effort of being a humble redneck?
Anyhow, these performers seem too pretty to be true, sometimes. If they were from out on a ranch they’d be weathered looking. They look like city boys fresh from the western wear store.
{Shrug} Who cares?
This doesn’t bother me much; he was booked for three gigs in Cincinnati during that time.
He would not have to have ever volunteered for this. Even Trump’s event can only be a finite size. But waffling looks bad.
