Loanwords ??
That is just a far right wing euphemism for cultural appropriation.

Indeed it has.
Teacher: CNN reporter. Use “Anime” in a sentence.
CNN Reporter: “Anime.” We have reports Donald Trump watches “Anime” porno movies in random theaters across the world. “Anime.”

The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary. - James Nicoll
English needs some type of head honcho to keep this from happening. < /s>

What a load of egghead fluffery.
I can’t think of more than a handful of Japanese words that have been fully adopted by English speaking people. The silly puff piece is woefully short on examples.

It’s not really that much of an influence, especially if you consider the amount of English words that went into Japanese.

It's safe. Think metrosexual but going for the bearded and plaid shirt urban lumberjack look instead.
(Looking down past grizzled beard to plaid flannel shirt) Yikes. I've become trendy.

Loadwords for include from the British, who took it from their stay in India: bungalow, pajama, guru, dungaree, cot, typhoon, etc., because what is what they had or developed apart from us
I watch Korean dramas and they use words from us like : kiss, okay, coffee, (pronounced kopee), date ( like the courting gesture, etc., because they that is what they like about us.
I am an American of Filipino descent and I see the word “boondock” used here in the US for a place in the middle of nowhere.

Its not really that much of an influence, especially if you consider the amount of English words that went into Japanese. Exactly.
As a kid, I lived in the Japanese islands for six years. Yeah, it was a long time ago, but as I recall, the Japanese used quite a few English words, and even phrases. It was necessary, as their language didn't have words for many modern day things.
America also exerted a huge amount of cultural influence on Japan in the post-war era.
