Four years ago I posted about the "McLean Stevenson Effect" which you can read HERE.
Basically, McLean Stevenson starred on the hit series M*A*S*H. However, after 3 seasons in the role of Henry Blake, Stevenson got tired of being part of an ensemble and decided to leave the show and go it alone on the "McLean Stevenson Show" which was an immediate flop. His career never recovered and his name has become synonymous with really poor entertainment career decisions. You could even consider McLean Stevenson to be the patron saint of that type of poor judgement.
Okay, so my question is, will Megyn Kelly suffer from the curse of the "McLean Stevenson Effect?" To me the signs are all there. She has/had a built in audience at Fox News which she alienated by her attacks upon Donald Trump. However, if she thinks she will be attracting a new audience at NBC, she needs to be aware that the liberals still dislike her for merely being associated with Fox News. That is what I am reading on the web now. In addition, she appears to be spread very thin in her new role as morning host and a couple of other slots at NBC. Maybe she could even substitute for Brian Williams.
Her biggest flaw might be thinking it was all about her. What she doesn't get is that the Fox News audience (which she won't get at NBC) was essential for her previous ratings success.
All I know is her quick descent at NBC will be very painful. Megyn will spend the rest of her life wishing she never left her Fox News gig (along with regretting attacking Trump).
What McLean Stevenson's name means for TV entertainment, Megyn Kelly's name could become synonymous with poor TV news department decisions.
For reference, we can look at the treatment of Benedict Arnold by the British. They treated him like crap, because he was a traitor. He didn’t have their respect, because nobody respects a turncoat, even one that served a purpose.
Her audience sure won’t respect her.
Ashton stayed with the show and made movies simultaneously. Topher, whose character was the son of Redd, left the show when it was at its height. I’m guessing because he didn’t like being overshadowed by Ashton.
A shame the writers did not give her the same out they gave Stevenson. The end of the episode had his helicopter hit and persons aboard the craft were gone for good.
She will now be whittled down to size by mere paper cuts. That will make total descent much longer.
Harry Morgan was in a MASH episode before he was Colonel Potter. They liked him so much, that they gave him the role.
She and Obama can cry on each other's shoulders. They deserve each other. Good riddance to both of them.
I liked Trapper John MD.
Think Paula Zahn and Lorie Dhue her. Never heard of em? Nuff said.
Wasn’t he a nutty general in that one?

I remember the suction cup dart gun bit still for some reason.
I think Me-again’s future lies in late-nite TV.....
QVC...HSN...jewelry sales etc.
Laurie Dhue left her newsbreak duties to be the primary reporter for Geraldo Rivera's show, which I think lowered her visibility. Then she announced that she was a "functioning alcoholic" and left Fox News.

Nah, it would be with gaychel madcow.
She made her symbolic conversion by cutting her hair off. She said something once about the scurrilous claims that prominent Conservative women tend to be good looking and prominent Liberal women are other than good looking. I guess when it came to the switch she had to make herself to look the part.
Thank you for that information.
McLean Stevenson was a second cousin, once removed, of Adlai Stevenson. Megyn should have her family tree traced—maybe she is kin to a failed Democrat politician too. That would give her some street cred at NBC.
Paul Simon’s solo career was exceptional and his quality was faaar better than with S&G.
Her crazy question to Trump at the first debate and his response “Only Rosie O’Donnell” was the moment he stepped out in front and never looked back.
So we owe her that.
She’s toast.
The all-time loser for me is Brent Musburger. Goes into contract ago she Asians asking for 10 times more than what he’s worth like some type of quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys . Management dumped his ass and he was never ever the same .
