A Florida pitbull freaked out on its family, hospitalizing two of them, when they attempted to put a Christmas sweater on him.
The dog, named Scarface, attacked its owner Brenda Guerrero when she went to put the garment on him and then bit her husband, Ismael Guerrero when he struggled to wrestle the angry dog off of his wife, WFTS reported.
The Guerreros adult son Antoine Harris was next to attempt a rescue by stabbing Scarface in the head with a knife, but he too was attacked.
All three family members ran into the home and left the dog in the backyard while they called police for help.

As a residential plumber for 35 years, I have been in countless homes with pet dogs of all kinds.
In all those years, I have only been bitten by two dogs.
BOTH were .......... POODLES!
Not kidding.
Another moderate pit bull.
My son has a rescued dog from a busted dog fighting ring. She was a bait dog. A too small part pit bull, part who knows. She is 100% fine with people but does not like and can get aggressive with bigger dogs. My Brittany male and her are very close and is not an issue. I keep her on a short leash, figuratively, under certain situations.
Wow... Like it was so weird. She never did that before. I just don't get it. Its weird.

Very good. Or....
Muslims: The Pit Bulls of humanity.
(Glad you’ve recovered from your riding injury ;)
You are attempting to speak rationally. In these matters you are up against IDEALS—see: abortion, drug legalization, migration, etc,—which are impervious to reason.
But not pit bull jaw clamps.
Interesting stats - glad to read them. So many defend pit bulls - I don’t. I was being sarcastic.
Me, too. Stupid humans wanted a vicious dog; they got one. They must be liberals, thinking the policies they want enacted against others won't turn around and bite them.
” ... Authorities were eventually able to be captured with use of a catch pole.
I wonder if we could use a catch pole on ovomit?
Saw a piece recently whereby a study shows Chihuahuas, Dachshunds and Jack Russells to be the most violent.
Pit Bulls were well down the list.
ANY dog (even cats in some cases) can be dangerous.
Pit Bulls get a bad rap. It’s not the breed, per se. More Pit Bulls than any other breeds are raised and trained to be fight dogs.
Some of these dogs may never be suitable as pets. MANY STILL ARE!
It’s the individual dog, period.
Of course, dog breeds do have particular traits to their breeds. Hunting dogs, for example.
Being just plain “mean” isn’t one of them.
I did some house painting in the early 80s to supplement my income. Worked in snobby rich folks home who wouldn’t remove their toy poodle who insisted on barking and lunging at me continuously. One time it got too close and was trying to bite my ankle. I launched it with a perfect side kick around 10 feet across the room. It still barked (much less ) at me, but kept its distance.
Pet Pit Bulls are like Pet Lions. It is a bit risky.
Did those poodles rip out your throat? Did you keep you face or limbs? Given a choice between a poodle or a pit-bull bite, would you choose the pit-bull? I got bitten by a lizard once- same thing as a bite from Godzilla...right?
My problem with the known dangerous breeds is not what they MIGHT do but what they can POSSIBLY DO, if triggered. Here we have a beloved family pet mauling the family over a common silly prank.
“Shouldn’t have put on that outfit!” Really? But they’re so sweet and harmless, just like other dogs. There is often a forked tongue defense of dangerous dogs, touting their sweetness and light one minute and relishing their destructive potential the next.
I’ll stick with retrievers and pointers. Nobody’s ever been annoyed to death with a tennis ball.
Friend had a pit bull. Sweetest dog ever. They let it sleep with their handicapped child. Came home from work one day and house looked like scene from helter shelter. Blood EVERYWHERE!!! That sweet loving pit bull had viciously attacked and killed the other family pets, another dog and a cat.
