In Ohio and still say that if any Big 10 team should have been there it should have been Penn State - not a fan of them either, just believe a conference championship should mean something. All about the $s...sucks.

I will say again - 4 weeks of playoffs starting week after Army-Navy/conference championship week (1st or second weekend in Dec). There are 10 conferences and about 5 independent teams in Div I - each conference winner and the best record among independents (as long as they exist) should get 1 seed. 16-11 leaves 5 seeds for the next based on record/strength of sched/combined rankings. No one can argue about the other 11 as it’s based on how they performed during the season and existing conference rules. Week 1 16 to 8, Week 2 8 to 4. 1 week for finals either between 1 and 2 or between 2 and 3. Week 3 4 to 2. 4 weeks takes us to the first week of January with final 2nd week of January just like it is now.

Heck take it to 32 teams and make it winner of each conference division (that would be 19) with additional 12 best record seeds. Take out the finals week break and you can still finish at the same time.

Anyone who disagrees tell me why the basketball tournament doesn’t have as many complaints? Seeding - psh - nothing compared to what we see with football. And the bball teams still have classes during the tournament - football would have Christmas/end of year break thrown in. We’d get a TRUE Champion. Into the tournament based on a full years conference performance and beat all comers to win.
