I’ll take TBBT over the NFL any time.
It was a good show in its first few seasons, but I believe fully and completely that all shows should wrap up in 5 or at most 6 seasons, no matter what!
Amazed that it’s allowed to survive with little diversity.
All the smarts are caucs or Indian.
I watch TBBT and sometimes I don’t even know why. There just doesn’t seem to be anything else on to watch. And plus Penny and the other chicks are fun to view. And plus it is fun to laugh at guys who are dumber than I am other than that I am not a PHD.
It’s hardly a “brainy” sitcom, unless you consider something like ‘Revenge of the Nerds’ a brainy movie. TBBT is full of crude sex jokes, sight gags, and pratfalls. A rare show with plenty of politically incorrect humor too.
Maybe by ‘brainy’ they mean cameos by notables from the world of science fiction, real science, and computers.

They did a terrible job building the prime time schedule this year. Most of the SNF and MNF games had none of the big national teams (Steelers, Cowboys, Pats, and Packers, add in the recent SB teams for seasoning). Multiple times during the year they had teams with major followings playing each other in the afternoon. I know they get success with other teams, but the prime time games are supposed to feature the prime time teams. And really, kill Thursday night, those games are terrible, and the Nike Fugly Uniform thing just made them worse. Once you start teaching the fans to skip games they start skipping games.
It’s because the NFL ratings have sunk, not that the stupid show has gone.
(I’ve never watched the show, but I’m going out on a very thick limb and guess that it’s stupid since that’s what most prime time network TV is.)
I watched TBBT for 3-4 years and then I got tired of it a couple years ago and just stopped.

No idea that show was still on. Wow that’s pathetic. When the NFL stops the obvious bias against white athletes, I may start watching again more regularly. It’s a disgrace the crap any white skill players have to go through to even sniff the field. No matter how good they were in college and high school.

Little else I watch on TV, news and a lot of true crime shows, that’s about it. Ancient Aliens when I remember to look for it...
I hear “Penny” is leaving because she wanted a huge raise - will probably cause a shake-up or end to the show.
