Saturday morning and the devices say it’s 21 degrees out there in heavy snow.
It sure is pretty when looking through a window at it.
I love to see freshly fallen snow, but I do NOT want to be out in it! Not to walk and not to drive. Which is probably why I think Mt Charleston in winter is very beautiful.

The Cabin Window
No matter how rude the cabin,
The window will face to the scene,
Of Winters fresh carpet of glory,
Or Summers lush meadow of green.
The windows a part of the inside,
It makes the insidedness right.
For it shows what youre trying to keep away,
The storms, and the bumps in the night!
Like a magnet that has both a north and a south,
Our comforts align the same way.
While you stare at your pleasant warm fire,
The window will show the cold day.
For while your feet are in slippers,
As you snuggle down all of your toes,
The window displays the rain and the wind,
As a lullaby helping you doze.

The radarthing shows an area of snow extending from Portland to Raleigh.. Not far enough inland to get Tax Chick, but NNB, you and I are seeing it..
And two of the three cats that go outdoors are doing the 'I want out' and then 'It's miserable out here, why did you let me out' thing in 15 - 20 minute cycles.. The third of that trio has decided that it is nicer sitting on Beautiful Daughter's lap..
