The prospect of a Trump presidency led to some prominent Americans — including Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg — joking, or perhaps half-joking, that they would move to New Zealand.
Ginsburg gave a nod to this splendid isolation during an interview with the New York Times in July. “‘Now it’s time for us to move to New Zealand,’” Ginsburg said her husband would be urging if Trump won the election.
Billy Crystal had the same idea. “I might consider finding a nice little ranch in New Zealand,” he told Australian media earlier this year. (By the way, Billy, we call it a “farm.” Yes, even the ones with animals only.)
But the idea has taken off this week. Web traffic from the United States to the New Zealand government websites that deal with immigration has skyrocketed.

My experience is limited to `Border Security: Canada’s Front Line’ on Netflix.
From that show I learned that if you show up in Canada you’d better declare what you brought with you and have a work visa or student visa if you plan to stay for a while.
If you are just `visiting’ and have a one-way ticket you’d better have money or they escort you back to your airplane.
Bring in food, pot, any number of things and you face fines and possible jail time.
Hollyweirdos and other American scum trying to get in would prolly call it a `police state’ and demand to return to America.
Four of those awful judges vote in lockstep 99 percent of the time and eye Reagan’s Anthony Kennedy for the critical fifth vote probably 70 percent of the time.

I have friends in their 50s that wanted to move to NL. Both are professionals with grad degrees. One is a nurse the other construction manager for large projects... NL would not take them because they were too old. Ginsburg couldnt get off the jet way.
For these people, it’s all about them, not America, nor liberty, nor our Constitution.
We do not want or need them. They should go, and never look back. Soon.

Is this a joke? Ruth Bader Ginsburg has lived in New Zealand for years. She resides deep in a mountain and is very protective of her “Precious.”
