Only political neophytes expect Trump to be hard right on all issues. My guess is Trump will turn out to be a pragmatist, get things done, and above all an American nationalist.
And....I can bet half of my social security check, Trump will NOT push carbon tax, no matter how many trips Al Gore makes to Trump Tower to cat with Ivanka.
Mark cares about one thing, his investments in China.

This is actually the first thing Trump has done that had me looking at my pearls.. But I have freeper friends that talked me down!
As for Mark, he just breaks my heart. I think he had a couple of days when he tried to see some good in Trump and I listened to him for the first time in months. It didn’t last long though.
Levin is a grown man. He’s not helping the conservative cause by behaving like Goldberg and Kristol- brats with nothing to contribute. I’m disappointed and baffled by his attitude.
His glass has been half empty since Trump won New Hampshire.
Ivanka is way too liberal for me, and way too liberal to be advising her father. Plus, she’s close friends with Chelsea Clinton and Caroline Kennedy. Some pundit yesterday or today said she’s acting as First Lady.
Trump needs to send her back to the business side of the Tower. He needs to end the reality show of Gore, Manchin, Gabbard, et al., traipsing in to see him. Enough already; let’s get serious.
I had to stop listening to his radio show - non-stop DJT bashing. He used to be my favorite talker but no more. I RECOMMEND LARRY ELDER who is carried in my market on Salem (I know the same network that support and carry Meds and Hugh) Larry and the other two are not the same in any way.
Those who underestimate and devalue Trump have a history of being kicked to the curb. The days of knee jerk ideological rigidity are gone, thanks to Trump. Rigid conservative ideologues are only marginally better than progressive ones. Just like libs they live in a theoretical abstraction of a world and rarely deliver on anything. They pontificate and posture as our nation declines and the middle class suffers. Probably lots of Cruzbots resurfacing on FR. Well take your pipsqueak arm chair pop shots. Whine and moan because Trump doesn’t stuff himself in one of your comfortable pigeon holes. But Trump is a different breed of American president and he will squash you like he has every other mouthy do nothing sniper. His style is his alone. You cant figure it out and you never will. I see a Pragmatic Nationalist. And I like what I see. So if Trump doesn’t fit your template of the classic Conservative because he talks to Algore, just remember he is and always will be 10 moves ahead of all of you.

At the very least, if Trump talks to Al Agore & others privately, they might reconsider their opinion of him. Hopefully Romney, the most obnoxious one, won’t trash him anymore, even when he doesn’t get the job.
