I've been fighting Chrome for four days and I'm done with it.
I operate W7 and I like it.
I've had trouble free Chrome for a couple of years, but it has frozen and crashed way too many times in the last four days.
Need Freeper input
I have avoided Chrome just because of the ways it continues to try to force itself on me.
It has done it to me too, starting two days ago.
I ran it for more than a year without problems.
Starting a month or so ago, frequent to constant crashes. I uninstalled it.
I should have added ... what browser are you Freepers using ?
Me, too. I don’t have any trouble with internet explorer, and I hate the way you have to closely examine the updates for many programs so they won’t install chrome on you. Last time that happened, it was a hell of a job to get rid of it.
My bro ripped Chrome off my PC and it runs faster. And anything Google too.
What are you using ?
Chrome on my fire tablet runs fine. Your first problem is windoze.
Opera....and it has a Chrome engine
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.99 Safari/537.36 OPR/41.0.2353.69
Try this version of Chrome.
You might like it better. I do.

WIN10/Edge
The Chrome invasion attempts happen at work with WIN7 Enterprise.
As a web designer, I have despised IE for going on twenty years but Edge is a fine browser.
I use Safari on my Mac, along with Firefox for Mac. On my Windows10 machine I use Firefox. I don’t like Chrome because I think it is a way for Google to get even more information about me.
Pale Moon.
I was using Firefox, but was having problems with it. I hadn't had any problems using it until I updated it to whatever version number it was before they issued 50.0. I tried resetting it without success, wrote Firefox's support department, and sent crash reports, but never got a reply. When they issued Version 50.0, I installed it, but continued having the same problem with it, so I don't use it anymore. The only browser I can use consistently without any problems is Safari.
I was having problems with Chrome, I have some extensions and blockers installed and I was having trouble viewing some videos on news sites. I tried messing around trying to work around the mess I made, and decided that another browser would work when Chrome didn’t.
I did something silly and tried Opera. It was just a lark but I like it and now I use both.
Probably due to all the new crapware, scripts, autoplay, etc. on the websites you frequent. I use Mozilla with all the blockers. I don’t mind ads. But my goodness. Go to Hotair or another one of my favorites and 3 or 4 autoplay videos start along with 5 or 10 scripts. Terrible.
Well there's your problem right there. Quit being a hermit and get with the times. Windows 10 doesn't bite.
