Marine Corps combat veteran Stefan Meza says he literally put his life on the line to preserve and protect our freedoms.
But after serving three tours of duty in two different wars, the aspiring police officer now believes his own rights were violated at Santa Rosa Junior College over something he said to a friend in class.
Go Trump.
It was those two words Meza said that got a sharp reaction from his yoga teacher who had been taking roll.
"She told me not to make political comments in class and I said 'Yes, ma'am. It won't happen again. My apologies,'" Meza says.
But it did not end there. Meza said after class the teacher took him aside.
"She told me I wasn't able to talk about a man who was a racist mysogynistic and prejudice against others," Meza says.
Meza says he was floored and days later he told the teacher he thought it was unprofessional. The next thing he knew he was being escorted out of class by campus police officers and being summoned to a student conduct hearing.
According to the Notice to Appear, the instructor accused him of disrupting class by shouting out a political comment and then confronted her in an aggressive manner.
The dean sent Meza a letter, noting that his plans to pursue a career in law enforcement could be impacted if he did not agree to drop the class and either withdraw or accept an F.
"To me that's a threatening ultimatum," Meza says.
Meza denies doing anything wrong, but says he felt like he had to agree to the terms of the deal because he's set to start at a police academy. The college would not comment, citing privacy issues.
"I think this is discrimination at its finest," Meza says.
Meza says he has filed a grievance and just as he did in the military, he will continue to fight for freedoms.
Marines and Trumpists are BABY-KILLERS..!
I can beat up your weak dad cuz your slut mom raised a poofter..!
We liberals in Santa Rosa are smart and AWESOME and my Liberal Arts program is making us MORE awesome...!
I’m calling again tomorrow.
He could take yoga from my wife and her yoga pals for free
Not a libtard amongst them here in Franklin TN
Actually there is one but she’s stupid
Cute though
I wouldn’t waste 5 minutes at this POS college!
Yoga, oh god!
I’m a state certified mediator. I enjoy doing half a day of volunteer mediating a month. It gets me out of the house. LOL But I have to do six hours of training a year and today I did 3 hours because it was free. Restorative Justice and the second half was about some wacko who figured out the levels of moral relativism but was an atheist and then killed himself. Early in the afternoon there was a woman at the next table who started making political statements and doing the whole cheer leader thing when the presenter (who actually was not too bad) said something remotely left wing (like too many blacks in prison). The second time she did it... I turned to her, held out my hand like I was telling my dog to sit and then motioned the presenter to go ahead. It worked. I still have the power even though I’ve been retired for 18 months. hehe....
Massive law suit. Do it.
This sounds like a Duffleblog story.
This is my local JC that said years ago they would love to have a former Marine teaching there. I’m still waiting for the call.
I have to ask, what the hey is a Marine doing in a Yoga class?
I gots to ask....What the “F” are you doing in a Yoga class?
Typical liberal. She was the one who was being hateful and prejudice. What miserable lives they must lead. He’s better off not being around such. Can’t imagine she gives off a very calming vibe.
I have to agree. Why a yoga class?
While I thank Meza for his service, one would think that a rough, tough Marine vet would be working out on the track and in the weight room.
Unless, of course, he thought a yoga class was a good place to meet babes.
So the college professor states that Trump is “a racist misogynistic and practices prejudice against others.” This is a total mischaracterization and would be defined as a lying smear against Trump’s good name. Any lawyer could take such defamation and use it to bring damage claims. I would hope some enterprising lawyer would contact Stefan Meza for some legal aid.
In 1969 my English prof at SRJC organized a visit by Black Panthers to speak to our class. They showed-up along with half of the Santa Rosa Police Department.
Surely he has witnesses to back him up.
In NYC, he’d be charged with a hate-crime.
And “flexible” ones too.
