(I'm not referring to Romney.)
I can’t help but add on some quotes out of the news today:
@Scaramucci: Jill Stein has no shot, Secretary Clinton has no shot, the recount is really a publicity stunt
@newtgingrich: I think the recount-mania is one more example of the collapse of the Democratic Party as a realistic institution

So, that’s what Newt said fwiw.
The end game here is to get a recount decision to a favorable judge and appeals court.
Then, appeal to SCOTUS and have it deadlocked 4-4, thereby affirming the lower court’s decision.
All the Dems need is to throw up enough dust to create the illusion of an issue and a favorable judge and appeals court ruling in their favor.
But. The GOP still has the upper hand. Even if a judge awards those states to HRC and is affirmed by a deadlocked SCOTUS, the Congress can refuse to certify those states, creating a case where neither candidate gets to 270 and the House would decide.
None of this will change the ultimate outcome but what it can do is create howls of discord along the way. The point is deligitimacy.
This has been a very good thread. Thanks for posting.
