Rome (AFP) - An alert and chatty Italian woman, Emma Morano, on Tuesday celebrates her 117th birthday as the last known person alive who was born in the 19th century. Born November 29, 1899, she is the world's oldest living person and the secret to her longevity appears to lie in eschewing usual medical wisdom. "I eat two eggs a day, and that's it. And cookies. But I do not eat much because I have no teeth," she told AFP in an interview last month in her room in Verbania, a town in northern Italy on Lake Maggiore.

As I said, the headline is correct. The text of the story is flatly wrong. There are undoubtedly people born in 1900 who are alive now, and they, not she, are the last people born in the Nineteenth Century.
I see in your future a job personally monitoring urine tests.
There are two women still alive who were born in the year 1900, one in Jamaica, one in Japan. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldest_people#Verified_oldest_living_people
Probably a good job for someone with Asperger’s.
Probably a good job for someone with Aspergers.
Has to have the digits “18” in front of birth year or nobody gives a shit.
Besides, there is no controlling legal authority to say otherwise. Did some King, President or Pope say it had to be the way you are saying it has to be? There’s no law or rule or regulation saying how it has to be. It’s simply social convention and most people don’t see it your way. How you say it is supposed to be is just your opinion, nothing more.

Did you ever learn to count?
I mean it. If you think the Nineteenth Century ended at the end of 1899, then you literally don’t know how to count.
Oh. I’ve finally caught on.
You are out of your mind.
Amazing video. Strange to realize that nobody in it is alive today. Doesn’t look like traffic laws were invented yet either.
Another opinion
Oh, I don’t know about that. My MIL lives with us and is 102. She’s chugging along pretty good. Tells some amazing stories.

Prove that she is not the last person born in the 1800s or clam up.
I never said she is not the last person born in the 1800’s.
I said she is not the last person born in the 19th Century.
Are you really too stupid to understand that 1900 is the last year of the 19th Century?
I still don’t personally own a cellphone. Husband does just
because he feels like he has to. We used to have to travel
for work. Had to stop at payphones all along the way to call
people for business appointments. No one had cellphones
back then. And then we got a “cellphone”. Back then they
took up a whole passenger seat in the car; they were NOT so
tiny. - They quickly got tiny. Then EVERYBODY got one; and
then they all had them stuck in their ears. People would
walk up behind you in a store yakking; and you would answer
them; then they would rush past you still blabbing.
I said then that I’d never get a cellphone & another
fellow also claimed he’d NEVER get one also. . but, he
broke over because of his grandkids. So, now there is only
me sticking to my vow NEVER to get a cellphone.
I DETEST THE RUDE WAY PEOPLE SUDDENLY BEGAN ACTING LIKE
HEATHERNS ALL BECAUSE OF HAVING A PHONE STUCK IN THEIR
EARS! Now, I am phoneless and fairly content!
Says who? You stupid? Prove it.
Cite your authority, law, rule, regulation or clam up stupid.
