In the mid-1970s, India began development on a totally new, advanced main battle tank that would satisfy the needs of the countrys Armored Corps. An impressive combination of firepower, armor protection and mobility, the tank was to be Indias first indigenously produced tankand one of the best in the world. The service date for the tank, known as Arjun, was confidently set for 1985. Instead, the Arjun suffered a tortuously long development period spanning two centuries. The final result, introduced into the army twenty-six years later than originally planned, is a mess of a tank that not even the Indian Army wants.

All the good programmers are H1Bs in America!
Couldn’t they trade us so much IT work for one tank?
My opinion only:
BOTH India and China REALLY, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really believe that BECAUSE both are such OLD cultures that they are SUPERIOR to every other culture in the world.
China DOES win one award:
#1. the filthiest country in the world.
#2. India is second filthiest country in the world.
#3. Everywhere in Asia (except Singapore and Japan), south of our border and Africa come in third. The Singaporeans are all Chinese, so it isn't the RACE that is so filthy, it's the Chinese IN China.
***Singapore is THE cleanest place on the planet.
We were everywhere but Australia. I'm sure it's on a par with us, Canada and Europe. We only went to Egypt, Kenya and Somalia in Africa.
... and there are geniuses riding up top, one in the back of that rolling pile of cardboard holding a cigar.
Most poeple have no idea just how nasty India is in reality.
See for yourself.

WARNING - the photos are graphic, very much so....
And the pot pointing to the kettle can’t be missed.
NOT BAD at all. You get your A+, blue ribbon and GOLD ★ for the day!
Actually more than that. Here's an early version of the Indian tank, based on a 1487 Leonardo da Vinci design.
Poor parents USED to mutilate their children to make them better beggars. HORRIBLE disfigurements: facial, cut off arms and legs. DREADFUL.
Somewhere in the 90's, I think, the Indian government made that drastic disfigurement ILLEGAL.
Here's the kicker:
Those same parents were NOT allowed any facial disfigurement but they WERE allowed to cut off ONE arm, BELOW the elbow and ONE leg below the knee. All else was verboten.
I doubt anyone here would believe that but it is the SAD FACT OF LIFE FOR THE POOR IN INDIA.
It's all a matter of perspective, isn't it?
.
Wonder how is the tanks software?
“Ello, this is Bob from Microsoft technical support...”
IMHO Pakistan is dirtier than India.
Well, 15 years ago anyway.
China, India and Pakistan are desperately poor, brutally overcrowded countries. I doubt most of the people can do any better. I bet the people - that make it to adulthood - have incredible immune systems.
I dated an Indian woman (who was raised in Guyana S.A.), years ago. She was not dirty anywhere that I could find. :)
Top *10*? Seriously, how many other MBT's are out there that aren't made of just papier-mâché? Make it the top 3 and call it a day. The rest are just cannon-fodder.
Sounds like our B-36.

Typical.
I see you’re enARMORED with puns. Tanks for the laugh. :)
Personally the Chinese are as clean as anyone else in the world. Same with Indians.
I MEANT TO SAY that their countries are filthy. China is the filthiest country in the world. You KNEW that, though, and are just making trouble.
अलविदा.
