While Facebook grapples with how to solve its “fake news” problem, two people have created extensions for Google Chrome that flag sites that they believe produce bogus stories on a regular basis.
For anyone unfamiliar with Chrome extensions, they are programs you can download within the Chrome browser that serve various purposes. For example, the AdBlocker extension is incredibly popular as it blocks almost every annoying ad on the Internet.
The first fake news extension, dubbed by creator Daniel Sieradski the “B.S. Detector,” was created shortly after Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said fake news was hard to identify and didn’t really have an effect on the election. How can you trust a group of generation who can’t even figure out gender pronouns? I mean, their mothers have been stuffing them onto the short bus since they were born.
Jim was one of the very first ever to create a “crowd sourced” news source. It is brilliant and was WAY ahead of its time.

I use Edge and I recently dumped adblock and I’m using a hosts file ad block method which is working much better for me now. Very fast and effective! No youtube ads show at all.
I use the Hostman utility which automatically keeps my hosts file updated with the latest MVPS adblock list.

The key to this is who decides what is real news and what is fake news. It’s mind of like Communist elections, what really matters is who counts the votes.
Much to be preferred to outright censorship (which is what Obama/Hillary really want).
If it turns out to be BS, then it will become the subject of ridicule.
I’d just be satisfied with one which correctly identifies ‘FoodBabe’ as a fake news site so I can install it on a number of computers to stop idiots from sharing their insanity against, well, just about anything.

MSM has labelled Wiki fake news
“Fake News” is a talking point that seems to have been created by despondent Progressives after their stunning defeat on Nov 8. Apparently the term “conspiracy theorist” no longer works as well since Hillary Clinton spent the last six months of her campaign promoting ridiculous conspiracies about Russian involvement in Wiki-leaks.
It still hasn’t dawned on these arrogant cretins that they were defeated by a majority of Americans. If Google and Facebook choose to demean and insult us we will go elsewhere. They can’t afford to operate just on revenue from half the country.
Sounds like a win-win extension. Anything that Google says is fake must therefore be true . . . and a place we want to be.

Foodbabe.com? I’ll have to stop by and check out the site next time I need cheered up. I just love reading a bit of idiocy once in awhile. Sort of cleanses the palate before I head back to Free Republic for some real information. This place keeps me informed, but damn, I leave here depressed about the state of the world some days.
