Pinging the list.
A noble glorious oak stands right near my house.
Unfortunately all the leaves ended up on my flat roof, and then it rained, making a huge disgusting mat of wet leaves.
I spent the day raking the wet leaves off the roof.
And of course when I was done, I was surrounded by able-bodied neighbors telling me how I should have done it differently.
(((sigh)))
Is it Friday, already? :)
We’re having our first snow of the season. Just a little, nothing the least bit pretty as we also have 30-50 MPH winds along with it.
The temperature has dropped from 68 to 36 in the past three hours.
Looks like our Indian Summer is going immediately into an Eskimo Winter! The puppies are safely tucked away in the barn, inside their barrels filled with straw. The Mule even came into the barn this evening, and the Beagle was howling so pitifully at the porch door that I let him in for the evening. (He’s currently warming my bed, LOL!)
Beau is still out in CO, Elk hunting. He might have some serious trouble getting back home as there are blizzard conditions between CO and WI. He’ll be heading back on Sunday.
Say a prayer for him for safe travels, would ya? Thanks!
I’m hunkering down...but I received my Pine Tree Seed catalog this week, so I’m happy! :)
Hello..pinging back at ya!Pretty mild fall so far here in Waterville Maine. I am taking advantage of it also doing yard prep and setting everything up for the snow season...Hope all is well with everyone else.
Could I get on the ping list? Just started using my FR login again after a long hiatus, during which I started stumbling my way through vegetable gardening.
Getting ready for cold weather to set in so everything is covered up. Having a great crop of arugula and the pansies are blooming profusely. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
