Internet giants proposed new regulations to crack down on content this week.
This comes one week after Hillary Clinton suffered a stunning loss to Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
Via WTVM Both Facebook and Google have announced that they are curbing the searchability of phony news across their platforms. Google said they would stop fake and misleading websites from utilizing the companys ad-selling software, stopping their revenue.
Twitter also announced Tuesday that it would update its mute function for users to hide content they do not want to see.

This is a bulletin board not a news site. Fake news gets posted here but it is under the scrutiny of Freepers who can sniff out what is real or not. The most notorious of course was Buckhead here on FR questioning the fake Dan Rather report on Bush’s Air National Guard service.
use Duckduckgo or Startpage, neither track u and Startpage is Danish.
Google track everything u do.
Cousins - as in inbred first cousins.
While I am not the biggest fan of Rush Limbaugh, I still find him amusing at times.
The false narrative of the supposedly not-fake mainstream news sources reminds me of something he said many years ago, in describing their attitude concerning the literal lies they tell about him and those like him:
“It’s true. And if it isn’t true, it should be true. It’s truer than true. It’s a higher truth.”
So Jim Hoft decides that one lib professor’s fake news list is breaking news..?
Must be a slow news day...
Is his site on the list..?
Talk about crying wolf...
Proggie filth.
Does that work?
