Letting Michigan fix Flint would be
symbolic of a return to state’s rights
and responsibilities.
Working in partnership with Flint and setting a template for getting it done correctly would make sense. Think about it. If Trump could have some of the Army Corps of Engineers become specialists in water system recovery projects, the jobs (1) could be done correctly and on budget/on time and (2) there would be uniformity to getting the job done right.
Fine. How about a block grant tied to some very specific deliverables for re-building their water system. Flint can manage it, but they have to be held accountable.
