They say maybe fans are turning it off because the games are too long, too many commercials, presidential election, etc, but don't even mention the obvious reasons.
Shorter games, meaning get rid of instant replay, except in the last two minutes of each half. Bad calls cancel each other out over the course of time.
What do they say about recovery, the first step is to admit you have a problem. NFL not ready for recovery yet.
A halftime flogging of Colin Kaepernick would be a good start.
Have yet to watch a single game, and will not until there are no more negro millionaires disrespecting the country that made them rich.
I haven’t missed football at all.
Not even a little bit.
How about respecting the flag.
They should relegate the bottom team in each division to the USFL, each year. Promote top USFL teams to the NFL. / Sarc
I was going to suggest canning him.
But caning him works too.
That’s why Trump wanted to be President, he can sign an Executive Order mandating the restoration of the USFL.
Agreed, instant replay is good to have if it comes down to a game-winning or game-losing play, but it is overly intrusive. Also, police your own and don’t allow tantrum throwers to desecrate the Star Spangled Banner on your watch. They can do whatever they wish on their own time, but the NFL has every right to enforce a behavior clause against these dipweasels.
“Not even a little bit.”
I also have not missed it. I haven’t watched a Superbowl in about 20 years I think.
I’d prefer the Lingerie league get a bit more national “exposure.”
I sure will miss my 49ers. If krapperdick's still with them, though, not so much.
Give away Colin Kaepernick pinatas with a DirecTV Sunday Pass package . . .
My wife just told me she was listening to a sports talk radio show a few minutes ago. They were discussing whether ANY championship sports team would ever go to the White House to meet Trump.
If that comes to pass, that’s going to REALLY help their ratings! Good-bye, professional sports.
Hopefully some smart team owners come out and say “If you choose to do that or even agitate for that, you’re fired and will never play for my team again.”
I think it’s related to politics indirectly. I think this election season as led to another wave of cord cutters who don’t bother with TV. When you don’t watch or have a TV its hard to watch football. They could get a lot of that back by offering better streaming options.
How about no field goals in the last 2 minutes of the game.
Get rid of the babies who can’t respect the flag.
The cry babies are coming out of the woodwork since the Trump landslide.
