Fairfax County VA is hard-core liberal.
At our voting location we have always been outnumbered by democrats (easy to tell by the sample ballots they get when going in).
Our family has a tradition of voting together. So this morning, we got up, had breakfast (me, the better half, and three college kids), then jumped in the cars to go vote.
There was a line of folks waiting for the republican sample ballot and I did not see one person going over to the democrat table. I couldn't believe my eyes.
I'm not saying this means anything, but that it is a stark contrast to previous elections.
I've vowed not to watch the news today (going hunting instead), but am going to wake up tomorrow for the result.

Where are they??? They’re still sleeping!! it’s 830am!
They won’t crawl out of bed until AT LEAST 10:30. Then they gotta wait for the busload of other Dems to come around and begin their first of many times voting.
Sounds like good news to me......DemoRats are not awake yet...most don’t get up until afternoon...then bitch about the lines, the rain, the sun, and everything else.

This is a news forum. But I sure am seeing a lot of vanity posts lately.
You know our readers generally frown on vanities (unless exceptional in quality) so if you feel the urge to post yet another run of the mill vanity, please resist it.

Dems won’t get up to vote until the crack of Noon and the dead ones will want to vote after sunset.
Dems don’t vote early in the morning. GOP voters vote on the way to work.
The dead voters will not be in that line.
I’m in Fairfax county (near the Vienna Orange line) and the polling center (a country community center) is right outside my window. I too don’t see any lines today, but there was a steady stream of Dem voters (taking the blue sample ballots) the last few weeks. This morning I see more Repubs (green sample ballots), but I suspect we’ll see a surge later today.
THey vote when the polls are held open after 7pm.

Good. I’m right outside of Arlington and was opposite here, unfortunately. Then again, your area is more swing-ier than mine, which is monolithically stalinist.
3 things can definitely be counted on: grammar nazis, spelling nazis and post nazis to keep us all in line.....
These reports are still good GOPe-Eyrore repellant though.
A huge vote in the non-beltway part of the state is enough to overcome their voting. Do I remember that correctly?
Relax, most of us want to know what is going on at the polls.
