I am not having any problem such as this, and I think it probably would be only a problem for Windows users. Still some of us Mac users may be using a Windows browser. I am posting this from a head's up from a fellow Freeper and it may be valid. If you are starting to see such browsing problems, delete your cookies and caches and it may help.

I recommend CCleaner (https://www.piriform.com/products). I’ve been running it for years. It’s available for Windows and Macs. I use the free version - there are no ads and it doesn’t nag you.

The Conservative Tree House reports that DNC and Hillary ads that may pop up on your computers as you browse may have imbedded malvertising malware hidden within them that will block the recipient from going to Trump, conservative, or Right wing websites after receiving the malverted ad. The suggested fix is to frequently clear your browser's cache and cookies. — PING!

Thanks to Freeper jacquej for the head's up, and pinging dayglored, Shadow Ace, and ThunderSleeps for their ping lists to spread the alert.

The latest Apple/Mac/iOS Pings can be found by searching Keyword "ApplePingList" on FreeRepublic's Search.

I have just started using the Opera desktop browser because it has a free VPN and lots of other privacy features. I am not a tech expert but Opera seems a lot better than the other major browsers.

I use Ghostery with Safari, or Brave. No adds with either of them. Nice.

I noticed several unusual redirects when I had my browser parked on a particular page, and walked away for a few minutes.

Came back, and wondered why the page had loaded another destination.

I'm a professional, so I noted the occurrences.

I have Windows 7 and am using IE. Does anyone know how to delete the address window history list or turn it off?

I recommend:

Free Spybot S & D
I recommend using the Safer-Networking Mirror Site as they are from the SpyBot S & D Software Company so there won't be any "add-on Toolbars type stuff like 3rd party sites

ZoneAlarm

Same recommendation on Downloading- if possible use the ZoneAlarm Site at the time of My Posting the OEM Site is only letting the "Paid Version" Download not the Free one, been that way for 2 days not sure why but...I ended up using the CNet Site for the Link I Posted here.

Malware Bytes

This is the OEM Site.

Defrager

This is the OEM Site.

I have been using these Programs for 10+ years on ALL types of Hardware and they work GREAT!!!

Best part is they are All FREE except for the ZoneAlarm AT THIS TIME

Enjoy!!!
