I too got fed up of Direct TV , but they refused to even drop my fees, , but said I could have a free movie. PFFTT. I got ATT for half the rice, and got more channels, and got One America News,.

I switched to DirecTV from DISH because DISH kept continuously letting their contracts with certain channels lapse. Fox News, CNN, TCM, and several important channels would disappear for a week or two or more until they resolved it.

I am nearing the end of my 2-year commitment to DirecTV. I'd love to drop it, but the wife watches the Hallmark channels all the time. Can't stream those.

Lol!! Hallmark, the "Christmas all year round" channel. They have already begun their Christmas programming. By Christmas, your wife should be sick of it. Hopefully she'll concede by then.

Oh, she would be so much better off without those movies.

Since I don’t watch that content, I am not sure if Netflix or Amazon has something comparable.

I have a friend who cut the cord, but they kept watching over the air broadcasts, so really didn’t “cut the cord.”

They are putting cable back in. When you cut the cord, you have to do it completely. Once you get away from commercials, etc, you will never be able to sit and watch over the air/cable tv again.
