So some career FBI staffers kept investigating and likely found something that drags Comey himself into the investigation. At this point, he should completely recuse himself from the investigation and let the career people (the ones who wanted an indictment to begin with) continue on with their investigation and upcoming indictments.
She is on speaking live now from Iowa.
If this re-investigation is pending on election day, it could cost Clinton a point or two, just by the fact it’s pending. How often have we had a candidate for POTUS being investigated for criminal activity?
A lot more depends on why the re-opening and what comes out between now and election day.
It is still highly unlikely that she’ll be indicted, but this cannot be good news for her campaign.
I don't trust anything Comey does — not a thing. However, it would be much better for HRC if he did nothing, or at least waited until after Election Day. Her campaign's biggest concern is lack of voter enthusiasm on this side. This is not the type of thing that makes her supporters rally around her. People get weary of it, even if they (mistakenly) think she's innocent. We should take our pleasure in life where we kind find it and do a little dance over this development.
On Friday, Comey provided no details about the unrelated case that resulted in the finding of the new emails, though the anti-government secrecy group WikiLeaks has been releasing emails hacked from the account of campaign chairman John Podesta in recent days, including material in which some of Clintons closest advisors expressed surprise over her use of the server.
[D]id you have any idea of the depth of this story? Podesta asked campaign manager Robbie Mook late on March 2, 2015, the day the New York Times revealed Clinton had exclusively used a private account as secretary.
Nope, Mook replied early the next day. We brought up the existence of emails in [research] this summer but were told that everything was taken care of.
Will you still do a victory dance when the FBI announces 2 days before
the election and state that they looked into it and nothing is there?
Will u still be dancing.
Do you now trust what the FBI has to say?
Something tells me there is some serious CYA going on. Recent Wiki disclosures have not received much traction but in total they are raising many eyebrows. Now Huma is believed to made most of Clinton’s decisions. Band/Tenaco is a real problem for the Dems This news has already been on several major networks. This are going to get real
Diversion. Obfuscation. Nothing here.
I think they’ve got more... lots more. No way this would have been opened casually.
I don’t trust a word the FBI has to say. The chances the FBI clears HRC may be 99.9%, but the chances are they clear her within 11 days, meaning within the six business days until the election, are close to zero. Nothing in the government happens that quickly. All I am focusing on is simple bad publicity, which this is for HRC.Our government, including the FBI, is corrupt. That doesn’t mean I have become such a negative thinker that I don’t recognize simple bad P.R. for the other side when I see it. HRC does not want to have to deal with this...which for now, is enough to make me smile.
So they found the cloth Hillary used to wipe her server ?
Actually they probably need to clear her in 7 days. Nothing on the news will change peoples minds the last three days. So this is bad publicity and will tie her up and possibly slow her efforts to steal the election.
Left wing analysts are going insane!!!
all of a sudden the system IS RIGGED, they’re saying :)
Gee, I thougth any talk about a rigged system was "extremely dangerous" talk?
Even the pResident says it was unbelievable talk!! :)
Heads are spinning all over.
What news!
What a day!...... What a great election!
They can make the same kind of argument with Trump’s ongoing irs investigation. Not the same thing but they’d be able to spin it that way.
