Former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh started a firestorm on Wednesday afternoon when he tweeted that he would be grabbing a musket if Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump loses the election to Democrat Hillary Clinton on Nov. 8. But in a conversation with Yahoo News as an avalanche of responses to his post began rolling in, Walsh explained that he merely was talking metaphorically and not about actual violence.

Just above my fireplace mantle, and it works. I fire it once a month (or my kids do).
“THIS is DEFINITELY Pissing a LOT of Hillary People Off”

Me too. If primers and percussion caps become unattainable during a SHTF situation, a flintlock could come in very handy.
Man, this guy goes off on the clintons!!
I dont even remember the Iraq sanctions!
In my 20s back then. It’s all a haze!!
Not true. A musket is a smoothbore long barreled flintlock or percussion gun that can fire either round ball or shot. Not a blunderbuss. Check out Cabela's or any other website that sells black powder arms, they are easy to find and purchase.
You are correct. There are 4 Thompson/Center Hawken flint locks for sale at this time on gunbroker.com.
I bought mine in 1978 in Penn when there was a special deer season for flint lock only rifles.
You bought a blunderbuss?
No, I bought a Thompson/Center Hawken flint lock RIFLE!
Which is not a musket or blunderbuss. Very few real Hawkens were made in flintlock in the 1830s and '40s by the Hawken Brothers, most were percussion. A blunderbuss is a flared, short barreled gun used for repelling attackers boarding a ship in the 1700s, range was about 10 yards. A musket is a smoothbore rifle length weapon used during both the Revolutionary and Civil War by both militia and Federal troops.
Yup! You are correct. So relax or I’ll get Captain Jack and his tribe to come out of the Lava Beds and run a muck in your area. (Smile)
You’re not too far north of me, so I’ll be careful :)

I know, he really does.
At first, I was a bit shocked, but as the video went on and he backed up what he said, it was hard to disagree with him!
He also said it on his radio show this afternoon. The way he said it I understood it to mean that if Hillary wins we would take up arms before we let the government take away all of our rights.
agreed
Cabela’s.
Technically, “rifled muskets”.
Flintlock or Percussion.
Mail-orderable, too. Try Dixie Gun Works.
Kinda spendy, though.
Many of us own the modern equivalent.............
That’s what my lib sister thinks...
She’s actually scared...
I feel sorry for her...
She needs “a Safe Place.”
Sure, a shot gun. And thanks to those who have corrected the record on the availability of flint-locks.
However, the article was about whether or not a comment about grabbing a musket was “incitement to violence” or hyperbole. I’d say the latter.
The only thing that will save our Republic is when the Media and the Politicians that would enslave us wake up afraid of us every single day.
